I came here, thinking this was like a chat room, and am having trouble navigating through these boards. So i am posting, tho i dunno if i can find my way back.

First off, i wasnt raised to believe in God. Yet even at the age of 5 i remember oraying to him. My life growing up wasnt so great, and i was never really taught how to go about calling upon God. Tho i have always felt his presence in my life, he was more of a background thought. I am now 33 years old and have never been to church. The knowledge i have of God, is nothing more, than what is taught in the media. I have always absorbed anything in the media having to do with his name. But i believe todays message of him is so watered down. When i actually picked up and started trying to read the New testament, i found lots of things i never knew. Like me being divorced is a sin, I had no idea! I have trouble reading too, my comprehension is fine, but absorbing the info i read, is a problem.

I want to be a better Christian, More tho i want to know how to explain to God how sorry i am. but cant even apologize yet, because i keep finding more i have done wrong.

I have seen of things, that says these are the end of days, and i am fearful. I fear for my children. I fear for ALL souls in general. I think most message of God today, is just simply if you believe, you will go to heaven. But i think Believe means more than a thought in your head. I think it is doing as he says. Now i feel so far behind, and overwhelmed to make up for lost time, that i dont know where to begin, finding the right path. Any knowledge, or scripture would help me. And one of the biggest questions i have is.... can you really go to heaven if you have not read the whole bible? I am trying, it is hard and feel like What if the end is tomorrow or next week? How will i ever be able to finish this? I feel absolutely desperate!!! Help

PinkMo,

Welcome to Worthy Boards. It is a pleasure to have you as an addition. You are but one of many out there who are lost and trying to find a way to build a firm foundation with Christ. PinkMo, there is not one of us out there without sin or one of us out there who has not done something detestable to God. However, there is forgiveness for you, as well as the rest of us if we not only forgive ourselves but take it to the Lord and ask Him for it as well through prayer. Thirty three years is a long time to go without knowing the Lord, bu there is still time as well as a chance for you to get to know him.

The bible can be a difficult book to understand, but know this. You do NOT have to read the whole bible to get into Heaven! Praise God for it too, for the way into Heaven is through belief in his son, Christ Jesus who came to die for you and me. All that God would have you do to become His is to pray to Him, giving Him your heart.

Keep in mind that even as Christians we still fall short of God's glory, but once we give ourselves to God, each and every last one of our sins is washed away and we are whiter than snow if we have belief in the Lord, Jesus Christ.

It is never too late to accept the Lord until you are gone. Just take the moment now to pray to him.

You can always feel free to pm me as well if there is anything more you need help with. God Bless you.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

Pink,

Bless you. You have excellent questions and the answers are all in God's Word as the Holy Spirit gives understanding.

I remember when I first picked up God

Pink,

I pray that you will find your way back here.

I got saved just four weeks ago, in my bedroom, just me and God, and the realisation that I was guilty through and through. I was so ashamed of what I done in my life, i'm 30 now, now I wouldn't have considered myself the worst in the world, but I realised that I was living an incomplete life and no matter how much I laughed and smiled outwardly, deep in my heart I had always known that I was missing a part of my soul.

So there I was, alone and uncertain what to do next, I couldn't go to sleep until the matter was settled, I had to lay my burden at Jesus' feet.

So here's what I did, I prayed a simple little prayer similar to this, "Jesus Christ, I realise that I am a sinner, I know that what I have done in my life is wrong. Lord Jesus I do not want to die without knowing you. I ask forgiveness for my sins Lord Jesus, and open the door to my heart and invite you in, I thank you that you died on the Cross for me and shed your precious blood. Thank you for saving a sinner just like me. In Jesus name, Amen"

God speaks to us first to convict us of our sins, the fact that you have heard him is awesome Pink, he is inviting you to join us all, and God does not refuse those whom he invites, take his hand Pink, He's waiting.

Hoping soon to be your Sister in Christ Jesus

Anne

Sister, you have deprived yourself of one of life's really glorious experiences. I hope you will visit several different kinds of churches and get a feel for what each does.

I think you are a lost sheep no more, but one who has called on God for mercy...a prayer which is always answered!!!

Dear pink,

You are in my prayers this morning.

It's ok, just take one step at a time. You are at the right starting place!

Jesus Christ! Whose Name Is The Word.

May God bless you and continue to reveal His Word to you.

:whistling:

In His Love,

Suzanne

Hi pinkinMO  Welcome to our boards.

Your post was beautiful its such a happy experience to read a post from a genuine seeker.

you said in your post

I want to be a better Christian, More tho i want to know how to explain to God how sorry i am. but cant even apologize yet, because i keep finding more i have done wrong.

God knows our every thought already He knows your emotions He Knows our motivations. So do not worry over what you will pray because God knows your sorrowful and repentant heart. :whistling:

Keep on reading pinkinMO and believe in the gospels of Jesus in that belief you will be saved. Read The teachings of Jesus and be meek enough to agree with the truth of them. Know this that although we fight the good fight against sin we will not achieve victory over our sins totally in our life times. Yes we can resist sin and engage in battle against it, that

Truly God blesses us every time we meet another seeker. I too Pray you find your way to him if not back to this post. I know how you feel about repentance. I could never be enough ( but its a start ). I wept allot when he came into me. It was not till then that I felt ashamed and Truly low. But even then I knew he was with me and was listening. A word of advise, now that he is with you, you must let go and give him control. Spend time in meditation and reflection. Pray to him in private and in thanksgiving for the blessed attention he is paying to you. With him at the helm your life will take a new direction and you will know joy that no possession could ever give you.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
