hes such an inspiration. so selfless!

here is a poem i found how i feel about him and people like him

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain.

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken in the morning's hush

I am the swift uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight.

I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;

I am not there. I did not die.

"passed away" - just saying

I know that it's sad when anybody dies, but he really wasn't the great hero that many made him out to be.

He is seen by some as being the architect of a brand new 'rainbow' nation, but South Africa actually went to the dogs after Mandela came to power.

I agree he was no hero that's for sure...

Farewell Nelson Mandela.

Christian Leaders Pay Tribute to Nelson Mandela: 'The World Has Lost a Great Leader."

BY MICHAEL GRYBOSKI, CHRISTIAN POST REPORTER

December 6, 2013|10:07 am

Christian leaders have expressed their sentiments of remembrance and sorrow at the news of the death of South African human rights activist and racial pioneer Nelson Mandela.

Dr. Geoff Tunnicliffe, secretary-general of the World Evangelical Alliance, said in a statement that "the world has lost a great leader."

"Nelson Mandela was a model of courage, vision and personal sacrifice. Today more than ever we need this kind of leadership," said Tunnicliffe.

"May the memory of Nelson Mandela inspire a new generation of such leaders around the world."

The Rev. Aiah Foday-Khabenje, the general secretary of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa stated condolences for Mandela, also known by his clan name, Madiba.

"The life of Madiba is yet another proof and reminder about the origin, nature and commonality of the human species; created in the image of God with ability to reflect some of God's attributes though vainly because of finitude, fallenness with feet of clay; regardless of race or geographical location," said Foday-Khabenje.

"Heartfelt condolences to immediate family members and the people of South Africa. May his exemplary leadership inspire African leaders."

Born during World War I, Mandela grew up to become a human rights activist strongly opposed to the racial caste system of Apartheid South Africa.

Mandela spent 27 years in prison for his efforts, yet became a powerful symbol for racial equality. In 1990 he was released, and in 1993 he earned the Nobel Peace Prize. Mandela served as the first black president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

"President Nelson Mandela paid a heavy price to stand against apartheid while campaigning for human justice and human dignity. His message still resonates though his weary, battle worn body has gone the way of those gone before him," stated Alveda King, niece of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"Long may we remember his courage, his fortitude and his gentle smile; none of which were ever tarnished during the years of his battles, oppression, incarceration, and the restorative years following his release."

Dr. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC) said in a statement that "Mandela's life embodied the idea of prophetic activism with an unquenchable thirst for justice."

"His struggle for equality brought down one of the final strongholds of segregation and subsequently empowered an entire continent to overcome by doing justice and loving mercy," continued Rodriguez.

"His life inspired us while his humble demeanor will continue to move us toward a more just and loving world."

Christianity played a major role in his youth. His mother was a Christian - he attended a Christian school as well as helped being raised by a Christian family.

Christian mothers have a great influence on sons - whether they walk with Christ or have strayed. There is much value in a praying mother x

I see no reason to judge the man now. In his latter years he appeared to have been a different person and may well have been a genuine Christian, but we can judge his record.

He is seen as a hero and I believe that he wasn't. He was the darling of the Left. They always seem to make heroes (like so many other revolutionaries including Che Guevara) out of those who don't deserve it.

Mandela was originally imprisoned for terrorism. He had plotted to kill many innocent people. He was a criminal but viewed as a freedom fighter because he was a Black man in an apartheid country, so the naive Leftists and do-gooders somehow linked this with racism.

When Mandela came to power, his policies paved the way for the destruction of South Africa. It used to be a First-World economy. Now it is a mess. This man has done nothing, in my eyes that would warrant him being some sort of hero. In the last thirty years or so, we have lived in a confused World that has turned itself upside-down from a moral point of view. That is why people like Arafat and Obama have been awarded Nobel peace prizes and why Mandela is viewed as some sort of saint.

Obama snubbed Margaret Thatcher's funeral no doubt because she called Mandela what he was "a terrorist"...but of course he will attend Mandela's funeral. For those of you don't know Mandels was offered his freedom many times ..but he refused to renounce terrorism preferring to stay in his cell while his fellow terrorist's continued their savage terrorism..
It won't surprise me in the least if Mandela's people begin to worship at his statue once he is buried....they practically do that already.......satan is a master of deception.

He was a great man.

Yes he was. An amazing human being.

He had been President for a short while when he had to attend a meeting at Shell House. His security detail were a few minutes late. He walked onto the street and caught a taxi (here they are mini vans that seat 16 people). The driver recognized him and asked the other passengers to get out. Mandela said no, lets all go together. His detail were never one minute late again.

His funeral is going to be the biggest state funeral in history. The first stadium holds over 60,000 people and it is deemed too small.

He saved us from civil war and a blood bath ncn.

If people read my testimony they will see I fought against what he stood for, for many years. But he changed all that and saved a nation from it's own destruction.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
