If I am able to I will throw an insect outside but it isn't possible sometimes with 1000 ants in your sink, lol.  We have this species here that shows up from nowhere it seems by the millions.  I have been to the kitchen and seen a ton there and I just hit the hot water.  Can't say it is keeping me up at night.  If I can let a fly out I will but they are like little demons!  Even the Bible associates those suckers with Beelzebub.  Mosquitos shall receive no mercy :happyhappy:

Animals are an entirely different ballgame...  I eat meat but could not stand to see or partake in animal killing.  My dad was a big hunter and made me go hunting all the time.  If God gave me anything it was a gift for animals and even wild animals weren't afraid of me.  Never wanted to kill an animal because they were my friends growing up.  Even now I feed the wild animals around here and they don't even run from me.

My dad and I had been hunting many times before and never got anything.  Then on my 16th birthday I got my drivers license and went hunting that evening with my dad.  That evening I got a huge 8 point buck and my dad was proud.  It went against everything in me to kill that deer and honestly felt heartbroken- but I wanted to get closer to my abusive father.  Anyway he was proud of me and hunting was something we could share.

We went hunting many times after that and animals not being afraid of me made it too easy.  I'd just let the deer go and walk around the land enjoying nature.  We'd been going for a long time and hadn't got any deer and my dad was losing heart I guess...  So I decided I'd go ahead and bag another deer and see how I felt.  I was young and still trying to find myself and grow up and be a man.

That night two deer ran by my stand frollicking with each other- they looked like twins.  Thought they were doe's because I didn't see horns and they were really big- 150+lbs.  So I shot one...  The deer with it must have been a sybling because it didn't want to leave his twins side.  Literally had to shoo off the other deer and then to my horror saw the deer was actually a male that barely had his horns.  That was all enough for me.  That was the last time I ever went hunting and swore to never go again.

Obviously it still bugs me and I never killed another animal since.  It isn't so much that I feel hunting is wrong- it just isn't for me and I just don't see the thrill or excitement aspect.  Some hunters I feel are exceptionally cruel.  Now I do whatever I can to help any kind of animal because that is my true nature.  I love animals and they love me too.

Awww....what a nice story, Will.  Good for you because very few of us need to kill to eat or to protect ourselves (those are the only reasons one should kill an animal).  I'm an animal lover too.

I don't think hunting is a sport at all.  If you HAVE to hunt that would be different, but I've seen enough hurting animals (at the hands of people) to just not want any part of it

I know after the fall, things changed and animals became food...but I don't think it was so prior to that?  Anyway....

Blessings Everyone,

I am an animal lover & would never harm an animal,I am a horse trainer & where there is feed there are rats,I feel very sorry for the rats but if we did not have barn cats we would just be overrun with Rattatouille......so I leave the killing to the cats....& if I ever see dead one that has been left uneaten for some reason my heart aches

But insects?Uggh....A brown recluse nearly killed me so I have a vengeance for spiders, every bug in South Florida looks pre-historic & grows to a huge proportions & usually is out to get ya....I feel nothing for the biting kind or Palmettos....butterflies,caterpillars & lady bugs I can live in harmony with.........

                                                                                                                 With love,in Christ-Kwik

You train horses?  Lots of those in Florida!  I'm a horse lover..currently have just one...but I used to breed (Friesian crosses) and have had a couple of TB's...lived near Ocala..you

might know where that is?  About 6 yrs...my husband is American ... we have discussed moving back down to FL...guess we'll see!

Horse trainer...great job!!

yeah I thought so...I totally get it about the ticks...I grew up in the province of Quebec (Canada) and we didn't have ticks...they are there now tho.  But the 1st time I saw a tick on my

Dane cross (he has since passed on of old age ... 16yrs) I had a conniption...it was like he was going to die or something..my husband, used to dealing with the little monsters...

took care of it ...I've since learned how...but that is one thing that makes me squeamish and I am not really a girly girl...but ticks do that to me LOL!

Hope they get yr quote feature fixed...did you try copy/paste?  If it is just you, maybe it is some kind of computer thing at yr end?  I sometimes have cacheing probs..but prob not

the thing causing your inability to quote....ummm...what browser are you using>  If it's IE, dump it and try Chrome or Firefox or Opera...

LOL Yeah,  I cant quote, or even copy past a sentence or a link or simply post a smilie face. Its being quirky on me. And I'm no technical genius.

I'll try clicking on a bunch of things and see what happens.

I'll probably make matters worse

Sorry bout your dog cross, Great dane's are sweet (clumsy usually) but sweet

Thanks...I figure 16 yrs was a gift with a dog that was part Dane.  The other half was Am. Staff...he was an amazing boy...I rescued him off the street as a pup and he repaid

me with many years of love and loyalty....a kinder heart in a dog does not exist

When my friend was saved she became so tender hearted that she even refused to kill the black widow spiders that came into her house. Not me. Pests, especially dangerous ones, will not live in my house.

These last few years we have had tiny baby red ants, my husband calls them sugar ants, that have over run our house. They like our bath tub and our adjoining bed room where I usualy leave a glass of juice by my bed. I wake up with ants floating in my juice and dozens more on the glass and bed side table. They have even been in our bed. Since we have tiny dogs and can't use insectisides, I have been spreading cinnamon around the stand. This is a tip that I found on this site. It works well. Cayane also works as does vinegar for the tub. We can't find where the nest is but they come in through our furnace duct work and even through our closed windows, they are so tiny. Other people in our area complain of it too. The entamologists say it is because our winters have been so mild, but this year we have had several weeks between 0 and 10 degrees F. As soon as it warmed to 2 days in the 50s we had ants again.

HELP!!!!! They are not harmful but I draw the line at sleeping with them and drinking them, especially since the live ones on my glass quickly transfer to my hand and my face. EEEEEE yuk! Changing to a closed bottle of water did not help, either. They come anyway.

It may be time to call in the professionals, dear. I have a man that comes and sprays every other month, non-toxic stuff. The cats literally follow the guy around the house as he's spraying and they're completely fine. Call around and check if any bugmen in your area carry the non-toxic stuff. They charge me 30 bucks every two months to come, which I gladly pay.

Off Topic,

Sevenseas, average life for a Dane is half that--8 yr.

Love your Bluejay. We are bird watchers, and they are a rare treat in the far west.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
