Do you think every story Jesus told was something that actually happened? The Scriptures state clearly that He spoke in parables so that the Jews would not understand Him.

33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.

34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples. (Mar 4:33-34 KJV)

34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: (Mat 13:34 KJV)

I've seen you use this a lot for various justifications in your reasoning of Scripture... whether parable or no all that is

spoken is truth and no deception at all! Now as Christ expounded the sayings to His disciples so now we by The Holy Spirit!

 John 14:26

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will

send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things

to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

KJV

Clearly The Spirit is about that teaching to open hearts... Like this understanding

in John 17

John 17:24

24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am;

that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me

before the foundation of the world.

KJV

so let me show how precept upon precept line upon line works: Here The Son

is asking for conscious disciples by >beholding< His Glory where Jesus is at!

Now take the truth of the passage in 2Cor 5:8

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent

from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

This death (absent from this present body) is to be present

with The Lord beholding His Glory as He has asked from His Father!

We can go through each of these passages if you'd like.

No not until you see the plain sense of where we are at presently

there is no sense in going any further... it isn't like I have doubts

about what I have shown you! It is undeniably the sense of these Scriptures

Love, Steven

Blessings Everyone......

Great post Will.................I don't know why alot of people(no one in specific here or I would have said so-lol)put limitations on God,,,,,,can we not consider that both are correct......you say,"How can this be?''Well, since God is not bound by space or time or anything else for that matter......but regarding Luke 16:23-24(and really,I think it has been written out enough times?)can we look at this as happening in Gods "I Am" present time but yet in our mortal future time?Jesus did tell us we cannot even understand the things of this world, how can we possibly understand the things of Heaven(paraphrase)John 3:12

I just know one thing for sure is for now we can only see in part(1 Cor 13:2)and when I die I will have all the answers........as far as praying to the dead,well-I look at it this way(firstly it is forbidden by God to try to contact the dead as it has been posted numerous times)& secondly if the dead are in heaven & with Christ already, how can they have no tears & all sadness be wiped away if they were to hear & see their loved ones still on earth suffering or living a life on the path of destruction........God is too Merciful,Compassionate & Loving for that............Just my opinion.....God bless & to Him be the Glory!

                                                                                                                                            With love,in Christ-Kwik

Again, nobody has picked up on the omnipotence point that I made. If the souls of the dead are truly 'sleeping' then nobody can communicate with them anyway, and if they are awake then should we try to communicate with them?

I keep hearing comparisons with living people praying for others, but this is not the same as asking dead people to pray for you.

My original point was that only God is omnipotent. So if many people in different parts of the World are praying to the same saint at the same time, he can't hear everybody. That's just simple sense to me. Plus, how do you know that he is worthy of being a saint? Only mortal men have decided that.

I think at best, Catholics are wasting there time trying to talk to Mary and at worst could be talking to malevolent spirits without knowing it. Plus, it's not scriptural. Intercession is mentioned a number of times in the Bible, but it refers to the living interceding for the living. The original Orthodox church misinterpreted this and started talking to dead people and elevating dead people to sainthood, despite God's disapproval of this as mentioned in Deuteronomy.

If there is only one intercessor between man and God, and that is Jesus then why waste time trying to talk to anyone else? If I wanted medical advice, I would speak to my doctor, I wouldn't ask my next-door-neighbour to do it for me.

If the allegory of the Rich Man and Lazarus was literal it presents numerous problems and it contradicts Scripture openly. The Scriptures say the dead are dead and know nothing. Hades is not the place of burning. If the allegory was literal it would mean that every person who has ever died, whether believer or unbeliever, is burning in Hades because Hades is the grave where everyone goes. It has dead bodies seeing, talking, moving, etc. yet the Scriptures say the body returns to the dust. We can see that bodies decay after death so it also presents a contradiction to what is visibly observable. There are more issues that could be shown.

This is really outside of this threads direction... Understanding is uniquely of God alone as that

'IS' The Last Man standing so to speak :) The understanding of scripture must be built like a house that we

reside in. The foundation is Jesus The Christ formed by The Holy Spirit utilizing The Written Word. In that

formation a person must through obedience in this

2 Tim 2:15

15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth

not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

KJV

studypath.jpg

It is a lot of work and meditation- nearly constant in my own experience thus far but it comes with this reward

2 Tim 3:16-17

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,

for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man

of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

KJV

It is The Mark for all who have been born into the New Life of Godliness that Paul speaks of here

Phil 3:14-15

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God

in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus

minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal

even this unto you.

KJV

The hermeneutic and exegetical sciences must be observed as God forms in you His Perfect Will.

People can argue endlessly about The Word but The Word only Speaks Once for all time... Love, Steven

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
