Anyone read that relatively new Newsweek article about Jesus and his birth? If you did, what did you think about it?

It was a simply terrible article! This is agenda driven propoganda, not journalism. Do you realize EVERY person interviewed was an extreme liberal theologian? NOT ONE conservative, Bible-believing theologian was quoted at any length. And extremely surprising is how many of their chosen theologians came straight out of the completely academically discredited 'Jesus Seminar!'

I'd have been thrown out of UNDERGRADUATE school for producing such a worthless piece of tripe!

Yeah, well, I personally like hearing the view of unbelievers and reading about them. I feel it's our responsibility to hear what "the other side" has to say about us and our religion, be it true or not.

This is just my opinion. You don't have to accept it if you dislike it. DISCLAIMER: I am not a christian.

Oh my! I find myself agreeing with Leonard this time. Any scholarly work needs to establish at least 2 sides of an argument. Providing only one side is not a fair article, it is propaganda.

However, propaganda does have its uses. Especially if used to counter the other side's propaganda, then the purpose is sound.

I have not read this Newsweek article, so I would not know if this falls into the definition of propaganda. However, I have read some Christian propaganda as well, where the author did not even bother interviewing opposing opinion holders.

Getting news from news people has not been a general thing for many years now. People don't go into the news industry to be reporters, they go there to change society, and from what I have seen it isn't for the good. Darn globilists..... most all of them anyway.......
