Should the words "Him, He, His" be written with a capital H when talking about God? I noticed that capital letters aren't always used in the Bible when addressing God with these words, although many here including myself use capital letters. I don't know which is correct. Thank you.

I use capital H. Some versions of the bible use it. Others do not. I personally like to use it but I dont get huffy to those who do not. I do find those who call my Lord with a small g a bit offensive. Altho I usually wont mention it to them.

I gotcha. It doesn't bother me if others do or don't either, I'd like to know for myself though. So is that what it is? Some Bible versions use capitals and some don't?

I think its considered an old fashioned way of showing respect for Him.

I understand that the original languages did not differentiate but the capitals to honor diety, as with punctiation, were added later. Hebrew did not have capitals. But I may very well may be wrong. Dim memories. I second Jady's remarks. But sometimes when my pad is acting up, or when I am in chat, I just don't bother. Frustrations.

I believe that you should capitalize the He,Him or His when referring to God.That is out of respect.

Aren't we Blessed to have a God that loves us and loves us to talk about Him?  Yes, capital H every time.

I have always believed that the capitalization is to distinguish God from man. God's name is above all names, and should be referenced to show that. Sign of respect and recognition of who He is.
