I think that they need to leave the Pledge of Allegiance as it is. This nation was founded on Jesus Christ and it is wrong to take Him out of anything. Without the Lord then chaos would follow as it has been shown down through the ages. Keep the Lord in all things.

I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

I am not doing this as a chain but as it is felt in my heart. God should always be first no matter what in everything.

Because in that 84% are Muslims andand other world religions. They don't like the pledge because its Not allah or anyother god. To them we are pledging to No one or satan, thats why its a big deal.

Um, I agree but I never, ever participate in any form of "chain".....to "pass it on".

I have no obligation to do so....so I refuse...but I do personally agree, (don't most people?)

But who started this chain? That's all it is...a chain.

Yes, naturally...the vast majority would agree with the Pledge.

Sorry to rain on the parade, I just never do chains, no matter how benign they sound.

Personally, I dont mind the pledge at all, it doesnt bother me.

I do mind however, when you say we should tell the other 14% to sit down and be quiet.

Have some respect for peoples beliefs, for gosh sake.

One nation, under God...

Those four words have become controversal because of a few people who don't believe in God. The few are trying to tell the many that God does not belong anywhere on official documents, swearing in ceremonies, on currency, governmental buildings, and other public places. But at the same time they want to shove immoral advertising, TV programs, and movies down our throats. Take God out of this country, and the country falls. Stand up and defend what is right and keep God in this country, and we will live life more than abundantly.

hmh, I agree wholeheartedly.

They have no business trying to change our pledge or anything else. IMO, those few should sit down and clam up. If they don't like it, they can leave.

The foundational problem this country is facing is that it's losing its heart. It is trading out its morals, beliefs, and freedoms for political correctness and social acceptance. The heart of this country has always been what made it strong because it refused to compomise its core values. That has been slowly eroding for some time, but now the pace is getting quicker.

You bring up an important distinction there, Rebel, that we pledge our allegiance to our country before God (in other words, in front of Him) and not instead of Him or ahead of Him.

I think sometimes that people get confused on that issue. I think that some wonder if we have sworn ourselves to the flag and therefore we hold it up higher than God.

A troubling situation, but easy to defend; I have sworn my earthly existence to the Almighty God and one of the ways I serve Him is to serve my country.

Don't know if I took your words out of context or not, sorry if I did, but that's something I noticed in there.
