Psalm 83 / Isaiah 17 / Ezekiel 38 - 39

Concerning Ps. 83, being the 6 day war in 1967, I said previously -

 

`The war of Ps. 83 has happened. It is history.`

 

Then you said -

 

`You certainly haven`t shown it...`

 

 

I will explain again for you -

 

1. First time the surrounding nations (of the new state of Israel) formed a confederacy & forgot their differences. (Ps. 83: 1 - 3)

 

2. First time they declared that they would wipe the name of Israel from remembrance. This was broadcast on radio & in world newspapers. nearly a direct quote from Ps. 83: 4.

 

3. The participants were accurately delineated.

 

4. The outcome was - shame, dishonour, and humiliation.

 

 

 

Thus any other war now is not the first time this has happened. Any other declaration to the state of Israel of a `Jehud,` will not be the first to that nation.

You asked -

 

`How can the `fowls of heaven` feel an earthquake ...in the air?`

 

`The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall,...` (Ez. 38: 20)

 

Obviously the birds will be caught up in the boulders & rocks crashing down from high places - the mountains & steep places.

 

 

 

Also you said -

 

`Gog/Magog is in Israel....Babylon is 500 miles to the east.`

 

 

Again scripture tells us -

 

`Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.......& ALL MEN who are on the face of the earth shall shake at my presence.` (Ez. 38: 20)

 

`there was a great earthquake:......& the kings...the great men...the rich men...the commanders, the mighty men, every slave & every free man, hid themselves in the caves .....`  (Rev. 6: 12 - 17) (note ALL MEN)

 

 

 

Ez. 38 & 39 is about the Russian war against Israel, however God puts in the final conclusion as well.

I'm back!!     Sorry, it's taxing to battle "Every Wind of Doctrine" day after day.  Not in this specific case however....I think it's just a lack of attention to detail.

 

1.  Yes but the main combatants were Egypt, Syria, and Jordan.  Not everyone listed (by a long shot) in Psalm 83.  I already spoke to this in a previous post.

 

2.  They've been saying and wanting to wipe them out for thousands years.

4. That's way too ambiguous and specifically....

 

(Psalms 83:17) "Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish:"

 

They haven't perished, they're still surrounding them.

However it is the FIRST time they said it together (confederation - you didn`t address that point) to the NATION not scattered people.

 

Names of combatants - obviously we disagree, & perish for ever we know WILL happen.

 

 

Just a note, maybe you are not to battle `every wind of doctrine,` here for there are many others & in time God reveals to open hearts. It takes time to work through stuff, errors that have been taught for years. But I do feel for you for I also have to becareful not to correct every error I think is there.

 

Thank you for saying I am a gentle soul. (I think on another thread.) I am learning that to `cut & thrust,` which I often did is not Christ like or good for my soul.

I think we both desire the truth & with that in mind it is not who is the winner but that truth will out, remembering to `speak the truth in love.` - with the right attitude. And that is where we are being fashioned like Christ because it is always easier to `cut & thrust,` with truth but with out the right attitude. I think you would understand what I am saying.

I didn't feel the need to address it since there were only 3 of the 8 or so combatants.

Agreed.  However....  (Matthew 5:18) " For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."

Very good point and is something I struggle with mainly due to frustration.  The Flesh is weak @ times....and I'm Guilty as Charged.  I discuss it with the LORD on a Daily Basis so WE aware of it.
