They are prone to brain tumors around that age the vet said. Our poor friendly Lhasa Apso also was attacked by a huge cat when he tried to sniff noses. It rode his back. He became afraid of cats after that. Cujo (the dog) wasn't the smartest in the litter but he was such a sweet dog and was so devoted to our Boston Terrier. Cujo would run in the direction he wanted us to throw a ball and then was bewildered when it didn't come flying over his head in the directection he was pointing. He just couldn't train us.
