A few hours ago a plane loaded with a 150 member medical team and supplies arrived in Colombo Sri Lanka, Israel had offered to set up a field hospital to help victims of the earthquake disaster. Sri Lanka are willing to take the supplies yet no Israelites are permitted to disembark into Sri Lanka and they are to return to Israel immediantly. Sri Lanka have also reaffirmed that they do not wish to have any type of diplomatic relations with Israel.

Why would a place that is in desperate need of help reject a country who wants to help? I think they should put all things aside and let the help in. God works in mysterious ways but He helps everyone.

I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you.

What do you think? They are a muslim country and they worship the moon god Allah so go figure.

Earthquakes, Tsunamis, and the scriptures say yet with all that comes upon them they still will not repent.

This is just my opinion. You don't have to accept it if you dislike it. DISCLAIMER: I am not a christian.

Why would a place that is in desperate need of help reject a country who wants to help?

It is irrational indeed, until you factor in the differences of religion/beliefs/politics. It is strange how these beliefs steer people to make irrational decisions.

None of the nations Israel has attempted to help would EVER offer aid if Israel were to experience a similar catastrophe.

If Israel ever suffered such a catastrophe (God forbid) the Muslim nations would only see it as an opportunity to invade and finish them off.

warm regards

How sad...

If Israel ever suffered such a catastrophe (God forbid) the Muslim nations would only see it as an opportunity to invade and finish them off.

There will be a bigger earth quake some day:

And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

Angles, I think there will be many more between now and the really big one you mention here.

Signs in the Sun and Moon and people will faint away for fear of the roaring of the sea. I think this is just a small birth pain. I hope it gets people's attention to get ready for the really big ones to come. If we didn't need to get ready he would not have warned us about them coming.

There is a lot of history involved in that decision. It is not as simple as it seems.

Israel agrees to support Sri Lanka's fight against terrorism

[06 May 2000]

The government of Israel has welcomed Sri Lanka's announcement to restore diplomatic ties and has also expressed willingness to provide support to fight against terrorism in Sri Lanka.

"Israel is pleased by the declaration of Sri Lanka's President Chandrika Kumaratunga concerning the resumption of relations," foreign minister David Levy has said according to a statement issued by his office.

He said a delegation would arrive from Sri Lanka in the next few days to examine modalities for the resumption of ties.

However, as per reports in the early edition of the Sunday Island, a special military advisory team is also due in Sri Lanka very soon to assist the security forces in its tactical and strategic planning.

During the government of Mr. J.R. Jayawardane it had been Israel who helped Sri Lanka with Bell passenger helicopters and necessary spare parts to fight against the LTTE when support sought by India and America were turned down.

A few years ago Israel police and mozad reports also revealed connections between the Hamas guerrillas, a terrorist group in Israel, and the LTTE.

However, reports have stated that Israel has responded to Sri Lanka's call for help stating that it was the duty to support a country, fighting against terrorism.

Full diplomatic relations were broken between the two countries in the early 1970s in common with many other Third World nations in protest at Israel's continued occupation of Arab land seized in the 1967 Middle East war.

According to diplomats, Sri Lanka has been trying to re-establish ties with Israel since 1995 but has been prevented from doing so by Muslim ministers.

An Israeli interests section was opened under the auspices of the US embassy in 1985 but was closed by the Sri Lankan authorities five years later.

But as pointed out by latest reports, despite the absence of official links, Israel has trained and armed Sri Lanka's security forces fighting against the Tigers.

Israel has been involved in this country for some time and there are a lot of things going on that are not covered in our media here. This article is just a drop in the bucket of things going on in that part of the world.

I think the old saying about don't complain about my gait until you have walked a mile in my shoe's is very good reasoning here.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
