Other countries hating Americans

People hate America because we support Israel and we invaded Afghanistan,Iraq,and possible plans to invade Iran. We need to leave the Middle East alone or we might recieve an invasion worse then September 11th!

We are talking about a SMALL group of people who can destroy America if they can smuggle in enough WMDs and suicide bombers. This isn't a movie script, folks. It's real. Israelis can especially tell you how REAL this is!!!!

The currently past Presidential election was really about people who don't agree on the administration of the war but in the "red-state" majority opinion America decided that the only military way to STOP and an invasion worse than Sept 11th is to eliminate anyone who is planning to attack us.

YES! This is the right plan of action! We can do it now or we can do it later.

There is no guarantee we win this war but our enemies are not going to stop attempting to destroy us if we lay down arms either.

War means that some bad people are going to be intentionally killed by American soldiers. If someone could tell us how to locate the nation of "Terroristonia" this war would have been in over in a Super Bowl commercial break but this enemy has no army bases. They are individuals in a society that applauds them while their national leaders are smiling politely at Uncle Sam at the U.N.

Bush is in a no-win political spot right now with the rest of the world because we are fighting a principality without borders who lives in a LOT of those countries.

I don't think this is "it" just yet but this world scenario does seem to be leading to Armeggedon ultimately anyway. The WHOLE Earth will be judged including America. Let's be ready at all times for His Return.

And start praying real hard...He seems to be coming fast. We might might go faster...

No matter what our opinion on the subject there is one thing that is very clear.

We have men and women from our country...our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers...wearing the United States of America all over them as they are in harms way fighting, hoping, praying and many dying right now. United we stand, one nation under God should be our hearts cry as we hold them up and encourage them.

God is good!!

Father, we forgive our enemies and ask that you bless those nations that hate us with a great out pouring of Your Spirit to lead them to the repentance that will save their souls as they see Your goodness. Bless those who curse us Father and help us to reach out to them with things they have need of. Let us not be slack in lending a helping hand to all who need us Lord. Father, also keep a close guard over our soldiers as they are in dangerous places. Save those that are lost and confort those who are hurting. Hold those close who are afraid and help them to be bold in Your name, Lord. Help them to know it is You to whom we depend and that will fight for us if we just allow You to be Lord in our lives. Lord, I ask that a speedy end to this war with Iraq come, and that they will have elected officials to govern their country justly. I praise You Lord. You are so wonderful Lord! Thank You so very much. In Jesus name I pray Father. amen.

And to suggest that I'm anti-semitic, because I also oppose Israeli atrocities, well I expected that such an accusation would come. BTW, I also oppose Palestinian atrocities as well. I oppose all means of violence against innocent people!

Then you are hypocritical because "if" you could find Israeli atrocities, you would find that Israel prosecutes it's people for committing them. And they are always committed in response to the daily atrocities of the PLO.

There is absolutely no moral equivalent. Educate yourself with the truth and it will set you free.

All I'm saying is, those who oppose the war in Iraq, are no less patriotic than you are. We are no less Christian, than you are. We just don't accept the "Bush Doctrine" of striking first, so as to never have to turn the other cheek.

You have mischaracterized the Bush doctrine intentionally for the sole purpose of stirring strife. Let me clairify it for you.

"We Americans reserve the right to breath. Anyone attempting to interfere with our ability to breath shall be destroyed and anyone harboring such a criminal will bear the responsibility of protecting them."

The "Bush Doctrine" is so opposed to the gospel principle of rule of retaliation, it's mind boggling how fundamentalist Christians, can be so gun-ho in support of it.

you have absolutely no sense of recent history nor an understanding of the role of government. This has nothing to do with any "rule of retaliation" because there is none applied to a nation.

When God gives the rules of war it's closer to "utterly destroy every living thing"

Since we are talking about Israel and an imaginary Nation called Palestine here? Also the chief reason that other Nations to include those populated by Radical Muslims with the purpose of eliminating the U.S. hate us?

sigh... you know this topic is starting to become more of a stone throwing contest than an intelligent discussion.

No country, Nation, Race etc ( you get the drift) is perfect. Even America of which I am proud to be a citizen of. Yes we have made mistakes in order to try and keep the peace, yes sometimes we have supported dictators although if you check history when we supported them they were the underdogs trying to do "good" for their countries. Later when they came into power most of them showed their true colors then.

America is there to help those coping with disasters, famine etc because we know whats it is like to be the underdog, the unloved, the refuse of other countries. We have made America to a prosperous Nation while other countries have declined and I for one feel that most of the hatred directed to America is good old fashioned jealously. We have worked hard to come to the postition that America holds today. We send billions in aid to other countries who cannot even meet the basic needs of their citizens. We share the wealth. No we do not profit from this unless its is thankfulness that a child will have food in her belly tonight or medicine to overcome an illness or books to learn to read etc.... Our profit then is knowing we made a difference.

Yes you are entitled to think what you will about Americans. As was so eloquently pointed out before the muslims who make a big show of solidarity are not really concerned about their fellows in the Tsunami hit countries. Who is sending water, food, mediciine etc? America is one of them sending huge amounts of supplies and money too. So the proof is in the pudding although there will be those who will spin it to their warped twisted minds as otherwise.

I haven't read every reply here, so forgive me if I repeat something that has already been said. America has it's up and downsides just like any other country. I don't have a lot to say about it, but I have always been of the belief that much of the rest of the world hates us because we back Israel...when much of the world HATES Israel. As for the Islmaists, I think most of them hated us even before the whole Iraq ordeal. Some will say this is only true for the extremists, but I'm not sure I agree. If you have ever read from the Koran, you will see that christians are to be regarded as the lowest of the low pretty much. I don't know if anyone is comfortable with reading the Koran, but there is a verse in there which pretty much tells followers of Islam to kill the Christians and Jews wherever they find them. They are told to not be afraid of large armies even if there are only a few of them going against that army...that they will prevail. I don't doubt that there could be some good hearted followers of Islam out there...perhaps some who don't know their scriptures too well, but Islam is a religion filled with hatred. No one could convince me otherwise...it is in their bible. There are many of them who would like nothing more than to see Western Civilization cease to exist. They are sickened by the freedom our women have here, the majority who profess to believe in Christ (whether christian or not), etc. SO, I just can't buy into the argument that it has been the war in Iraq that has caused them to hate us so much. Many of the citizens of Iraq rejoice to see Hussein out of power, and those who are still fighting against us, are those very ones who have always hated us with a passion....fighters with links to terrorist groups, etc. I don't see us accomplishing much else than having Hussein removed....I can't see any stability there, BUT I think the muslims who hate us now, have always hated us. Maybe I will be torn apart for this, but I believe Islam is nothing but another religion that satan had a hand in bringing about. He loves to deceive.

As for our contribution to the tsunami victims, I strongly believe any negative opinions about that is nothing but foolishness! When Powell spoke about the amount our country was giving, he made it clear that the amount could very well go up. Regardless of whatever figure has been thrown out there recently, we have no idea how much the final total will be when this is all said and done....which will be quite a while. Besides that, some of our military is working in the areas affected right now....flying needed supplies into remote areas that are hard to reach. Some might want to put us down over this whole situation, but I have seen the looks on those peoples faces on the news, and they are truly grateful. Also, US citizens are still donating money here everyday to help with this crisis.

Anyway, this country is no worse than many others, and in ways, is no better either. It seems that most people today just take anything they find or hear, and make it into something much worse than it is. This tsunami crisis and our contribution is a perfect example of that. I don't see that getting any better either. God has always known the direction this world would go, and thats why the bibles prophesies are coming together quite nicely. I don't think any of it can be changed. Perhaps America could change some of it's ways for the better, but that means little when there are so many other countries who have taken a turn for the worst...just as we have. My thing is...PRAY for our world, and spread the good news of Christ like there is no tomorrow! America is hated, Israel is hated, MANY are hated. Perhaps soon the antichrist will step onto the scene and have a seemingly perfect solution for peace, but it won't last. There will only be real peace when our King returns...and not a minute sooner.
