If you can't get the basic facts right....

how do you expect to understand scripture....

None of the highlighted statements have any scriptural background....

Why are you adding to scripture or making up unfounded conclusions....

Hi Semaj,

I agree with you. Those comments about those historical kingdoms, people add to scripture. Glad you pointed that out.

Thanks Marilyn, hi.

Those titles of Abaddon and Apollyon are titles FOR Satan, not another like him. Satan is that king, the angel of the bottomless pit.

In Rev.12:7 forward we are shown he and his angels will be cast down to this earth among us, in OUR dimension. He is coming 'here', on earth, in person, and the majority of the world will wonder at him, meaning they will wonder at who he is, not being able to recognize him as the devil in person. Pretty obvious many here aren't even ready for that, because of the thinking that it will be someone else other than Satan himself.

If you can't get the basic facts right, how do you expect to understand scripture? None of the highlighted statements have any scriptural background. Why are you adding to scripture or making up unfounded conclusions?

I see yet another here which must have an 'anvil' fall on them because of they are dull of hearing.

Rev.9

11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

If you're going to claim understanding of the English language, you might try to learn what a subject and object in a sentence is. The subject is that "king" "which is the angel of the bottomless pit", and the objects are those other names he has, "Abaddon" in the Hebrew, and "Apollyon" in the Greek.

Now little children, who is the "angel of the bottomless pit"? Satan.

Where in Rev 9 is Satan  mentioned, from a reading comprehension perspective?

Satan gives his power and throne to the Beast, and the second Beast speaks like a dragon, but it really doesn't say that it is Satan himself.

Where do you get from scripture that Abaddon is another name for Satan.

I'm not following your thoughts here?????

Satan is... the 2nd beast, a king (Rev.13:11 forward, Rev.17).

Both titles Abaddon (Hebrew) and Apollyon (Greek) mean 'Destroyer', yet another title of Satan's.

Another title of Satan mentioned where?

Another title of Satan mentioned where?

Rev 9:1 KJV - And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

Rev 9:2 KJV - And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

Rev 9:3 KJV - And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

Rev 9:11 KJV - And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

  1. Abaddon = "destruction"

    1. ruin

    2. destruction

    3. the place of destruction

    4. the name of the angel-prince of the infernal regions, the minister of death and the author of havoc on the earth

  2. Apollyon = "Destroyer"

    1. the angel of the bottomless pit, the Destroyer

Right there in Rev.9:11, as that "angel of the bottomless pit". Who else do you think would warrant the ultimate Destroyer title? Do you not also understand how that Greek Apollyon title is from the Greek word that means to 'perish' (apollyomi)?

Satan is the 'son of perdition' also, because he has already been judged and sentenced with his angels to perish in the "lake of fire". Even in Rev.17 we were shown about the beast king that goes into 'perdition', and even in Rev.12:7 with Satan and his angels being cast out of Heaven down to this earth in the last days.

    1. the angel of the bottomless pit, the Destroyer

Where does it say Satan is the Destroyer, the king of the bottomless pit? It doesn't.  Instead scripture proves Satan and the Beast are two different entities.

Follow the chronology of events, an angel opens the bottomless pit releasing this king and his angels.

Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.

Rev 9:2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

---------------

Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.

This Beast wages war with Christ after Satan gives him his power.

Rev 19:19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Rev 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

The very next chapter is Satan being  bound for a 1,000 years after the Beast's defeat! The Beast and the false prophet are burning in the lake of fire while Satan is bound for the 1,000 yrs.

Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Notice the angel has the key and is not given the key as in Rev 9:1 when he first opens the pit and releases the Beast.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rev 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Beast is not Satan. But I know where you get your train of thought, from the so-called early church fathers.

Let's stick to the positive agenda.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
