The tribulation is past. It happened from the destruction of Jerusalem and into the dark ages where more than 500 million people were destroyed by the popes of Rome. Daniel 7:25 The 7th week continues from the 69th week normally. The 69 th week when Messiah would come was 27 AD. In the midst of it He was cutt off, on the cross for us, not for Himself. The remaining week ended at 34 AD with the stoning of Stephen. This marked the probation time of Jews as being closed. short simple and sweet

Matthew 24, Mark 13, 2 Thessalonians 2, and a lot of Revelation proves otherwise.

These theories were made popular by Scofield. One thing you forget is from whom scofield got them from. Truth is it was devised by a roman jesuit wanting to help the pope to counteract the reformation. The tribulation is over. What is about to happen is Jacob's time of trouble. A lot more than just the destruction of the temple was done by the Roman army in 70 A.D.: "The Romans, though it was a terrible struggle to collect the timber, raised their platforms in twenty-one days, having as described before stripped the whole area in a circle round the town to a distance of ten miles. The countryside like the City was a pitiful sight; for where once there had been a lovely vista of woods and parks there was nothing but desert and stumps of trees. No one - not even a foreigner - who had seen the Old Judea and the glorious suburbs of the City, and now set eyes on her present desolation, could have helped sighing and groaning at so terrible a change; for every trace of beauty had been blotted out by war, and nobody who had known it in the past and came upon it suddenly would have recognized the place: when he was already there he would still have been looking for the City." (Flavius Josephus, The Jewish War).Josephus is describing the countryside around Masada, Herod's mountain top fortress when the Romans constructed an incline to access the top. The Roman Troops gather trees and sorted material to make the ramp, what the left behind was trumps of trees and the sort of wreckage of the countryside not the city, IMO, as I see it

You say the tribulation is yet to occur, but matthew 24 continued being fulfilled normally as if the tribulation was past. The tribulation started to end in 1776 when USA opened its doors to the oppressed of the pope. 4 years later in 1780 on May 19, the sun did not give her light. That day was called in history as the great dark day. http://www.web-books.com/Classics/ON/B0/B897/09MB897.html The sign in the moon happened the following night. It appeared red as blood as revelation 6 said it would. 53 years later the sign of the stars falling from heaven happened. November 13, 1833 http://www.web-books.com/Classics/ON/B0/B897/10MB897.html And not even so, but also preceding all these signs as revelation 6 said it woils, the earthquake happened. The great Lisbon earthquake of November 1, 1755. You asked for a source on the dark ages. Here you go, For teaching faith contrary to the teaching of the Church of Rome, history records the martyrdom of more then 100 million people." -Brief Bible Readings pg 16 Experience teaches that there is no other remedy for the evil, but to put heretics (Protestants) to death; for the (Romish) church proceeded gradually and tried every remedy: at first she merely excommunicatied them; afterwards she added a fine; then she banished them; and finally she was constrained to put them to death." -Cardinal Bellarmine famous champion of Romanism cited by Schumucker p. 76 The catholic church has persecuted...when she thinks it is good to use physical force she will use it...will the Catholic church give bond that she will not persecute?...the Catholic church gives no bonds for her good behaviour." -Western Watchman, Dec 24, 1908 (A Roman Catholic Publication). Daniel 12:1 - And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation [even] to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
