Argument #1: This is the “God of the gaps” contention, which states that science has now filled past gaps in human’s knowledge of how the universe works and any remaining holes in that fabric will be mended by future discoveries

 

So "science" has filled The 1st Law of Thermodynamics (Pillar of Science) "Gap", eh?  "Matter/Energy can not be Created or Destroyed but only change form".  Hawking couldn't pass 7th Grade General Science Class.

 

Has "science" filled the "GAP" of:  DNA/RNA/"Functional Proteins" NEVER spontaneously form "naturally", outside already existing cells, from Sugars, Bases, Phosphates, and Aminos, respectively.

It's Physically and Chemically IMPOSSIBLE.

 

That's just the Hardware!

 

DNA "CODE"/Software------------------Design(Intelligence)--------------------Designer!

 

To refute:

 

1. Prove that the Genetic CODE is not....."CODE"/Software. OR....

2. Prove that Atoms/Molecules have Sentience and Intelligence.

 

 

Argument #2: “Because there is a law like gravity the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists.

 

Now wait one cotton pickin minute: “Because there is a law like gravity the universe can and will create itself from nothing."   This is a Non-Sequitur (Fallacy)----- The conclusion doesn't follow from it's premises, on Steroids.

 

What on Earth does the Law of Gravity....which by the way requires MATTER and not just One Body but @ least Two Bodies, have to do with Creating Itself??

 

Of course, that would mean the Universe Existed prior to it's Existence..and it was "Nothing" (doh!). This is Logical Preposterous Ludicrousness x 10^{000000000000000000000------>}

 

 

Argument #3:  The God of the Bible clearly performs miracles, which is something Hawking believes cannot occur. Instead he believes in the “concept of scientific determinism, which implies that … there are no miracles, or exceptions to the laws of nature

 

Have him look in the Mirror!  LIFE is a Miracle!!!

 

Or Show Life from Non-Life.... cause without it, he doesn't have legs to stand on (No pun intended).

 

 

In conclusion, the support used as the foundation for his postulates are no better than that of a clumsy child...to be quite frank.

Has anyone seen a miracle lately? Other than wondrous events like human birth, I am curious to know if there are events where the laws of nature are suspended?

It wasn't actually lately, but 20 or so years ago I saw before and after x-rays of a kidney that simply went away after a AoG church prayed over a ten year old girl who was very ill.

     Perhaps you have never read one of my testimonies but I am a miracle.....a living testimony with 4 doctors.medical records & pet scans to prove it.......Stage 4 INCURABLE cancer.........sure I had months of chemo/radiation but it was only turning up in other places during the process according to the pet scans & then one day "POOF"........gone,no evidence of cancer(they thought the machine was faulty)........the GI doctor did a scope & said if he didn't know better that I had no surgery he would attest that the tumor was surgically removed,it appeared to be "cut out"

    Yeah,,,,,I saw a miracle........my oncologist calls me 'the miracle".................Glory to God!             With love-in Christ,Kwik

 

As far as Hawkings goes.......well,I have heard him speak on many specials & interviews & for such an intelligent man he seems to lack common sense

In other words, science has the luxury of being wrong.
