Someone asked:

So you think the great tribulation is God's wrath and judgment?

No question about it .... all of it .... every day, unrelenting, unprecedented, earth shaking

Revelation tells where all the judgments are coming from .... the Lord Himself who commands His angels

And just who instigates Satan's folly [Revelation 17:16-18]

Believe that He is the judge in all of it [Psalms 2; Revelation 6:12-17]

There will be no reprieve from an angry God

Some one said "we will know the time before" when the Lord comes to to immortalize His Ecclesia [called out ones]

If you know, then tell the forum your speculative dating ....when will it be?

.... but you do not know because He has not revealed the dating

It is not for you to know .... or anyone else for that matter

However, make certain that you are ready .... the "ready" believer is not in darkness and need not fear His coming intervention to bring tribulation

The ones to worry are the unbelievers and those who think they are .... and are not [Matthew 25:1-13; Revelation 3:15-19]

His action could take place before this day is over .... no signs, no warning [Matthew 24:36-39]

[Acts 1:6-7; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-9]

We have tribulation in this world and in this trouble filled life .... but the Lord's coming tribulation and wrath is a very different [Psalms 2]

The tribulation that is coming as recorded in scripture is going to be just what you say it is not

The day is coming when the Lord will unleash His mighty furry upon a world that has chosen to ignore Him

The prophetic scriptures are filled with this truth and His warnings about the same

This coming 70th week decreed for His nation of Israel will effect all nations upon the earth with unprecedented upheaval

The "Day of the Lord" ..... His time of trial and judgment which will go on for 2550 days

And it is after those "days" of the tribulation which He will cause that He will appear upon the earth in the open [Matthew 24:29-31; 25:31-46]

No serious student of the scriptures can possibly miss this truth, the "Day of the Lord" is coming .... and not just one day at the end of the tribulation period as some say

Here are just a few scriptures:

Isaiah 2:12;13:6,9;Ezekiel 13:5,30:3;Joel 1:15,2:1,11,31;3:14;Amos 5:18,20;Obadiah 15;Zephaniah 1:7,14;Zechariah 14:1;Malachi. 4:5Acts 2:20;2 Thessalonians 2:2;2 Peter 3:10 Revelation 6:17;16:14

Remember that it is Satan who says that the Lord is a liar [Genesis 3; Revelation 12:12]

Will the Lord use Satan as His dupe to punish the earth dwellers ..... better believe that he will [2 Thessalonians 2:8-12; Revelation 17:16-18]

Since the world has refused to believe the truth about Him .... He will give them the devil instead

And it is the scoffer who tells  "no future judgment" [2 Peter 3:1-10]

Do not be deceived by either

Let the Lord speak on the matter:

Luke

21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

21:23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Tribulation, great or small, does not equal wrath / judgment.

Hi Last Daze,

I think I am the someone in which Daniel was referring to here. However, I agree with your answer for the most-part.

The great tribulation (Matt. 24:21) and time of trouble (Dan. 12:1) are both referring to the same period that occurs after the abomination of desolation (mid-week), in which the world will enter into a major world crisis that has not been seen since there was a nation (unprecedented). World War II will pale in comparison, but this is not God's wrath. War and Jacob's trouble, yes, but God's wrath, no.

If you read about Jacob's trouble, it is a judgment against Israel the nation, but God will also save her at that time as well. Not all of God's judgments are His wrath. He also uses judgments to shake and punish nations, but the Day of the Lord will be much different. His wrath (burning anger) will destroy (kill) all of the wicked and disobedient then.

The Day of the Lord will be God's wrath and it will be swift, during the second coming (Armageddon). We will not see this day, at least until after all of the martyrs have been killed (Rev. 6:9-11). However, the saints, those who are ready (rapture) and the martyrs will be returning at that time with the Lord (Rev. 19:11-21).

Cheers

This is the beginning of the the Day of the Lord bringing His wrath and taking vengeance upon an unbelieving world [Revelation 6:12-17]

This tribulation will last for 1260 days +1260 days + 30 days [Daniel 9:24; 12:1-11] All of the 70th week decreed for Israel is still pending and the entire period will be laced with upheaval in nature, vexation, confusion, unprecedented human warfare and death, economic collapse, and martyrdom affecting the whole earth [Matthew 24; Luke 21:20-36; Revelation 3:10]

The first 1260 days will be the period in which Satan's beast in the little horn of Daniel's visions will appear and rise to power [Revelation 13:1-4]

This one will invade and occupy Israel, Jerusalem, and the temple mount at the middle of the 70 week and then rule for 42 months [the second 1260 days]

The the Lord will force him and his human followers to battle at Armageddon which will cover most of the Middle East .... this battle will last for 30 days

The Lord will destroy the same leading Israel to victory .... then He will appear upon the earth and restore the kingdom to Israel [His millennial kingdom] and rule for 1000 years

The current upheaval in the Middle East is just on this side of the coming tribulation period .... the movement of the Islamic terrorists [iSIL] now holding the enclave of parts of Syria and Iraq will bring the rising of the little horn and his quest to dominate the region and to rule the earth

The term "great tribulation" refers to the entire tribulation, and not just part of it, during which all of the events for the time of the end of this present age will take place .... with a particular focus upon Israel in the Middle

The little horn will begin consolidating his kingdom holdings during the first 1260 days and will reach Israel by the middle of the 70th week [Daniel 7:7-25; 8:9-25; 11:36-45; 12:7]

The first 1260 days will be a very tumultuous time as the little horn rises to power;  for the Middle East, for Israel, and for the world .... something like today's setting .... but much more intense [a period of upheaval in nature, warfare, and terrorism affecting all nations]

If the beast invades Israel in Rev 13, why does 11:7 tell us that he will kill the two witnesses, who presumably live in Israel given that the next verse indicates their bodies will lay on the streets of Jerusalem? Does the beast kill them before he invades Israel? But wouldn't killing them show that he is already in charge in Israel in 11:17? So why does he have to invade Israel in ch 13?

Satan's beast in the little horn will be ruling over Israel during the 42 months [the second 1260 days] .... and the Lord's two prophets will stand straight in His face and witness against him and his followers during the period

.... the Lord will supernaturally protect them during their witness so that the beast will have to tolerate them

Any who attempt to harm them will be consumed with fire

The beast will not be able to do anything as they bring judgments upon the earth

Then the Lord will allow for the beast to kill them at the end of their testimony

.... and next the Lord will resurrect them for all to see .... and the beast will be humiliated in front of his followers

Just another demonstration of the Lord's great power and authority over any thing that Satan can conjure up

The Word of God divides the 70th Week of Daniel (seven years) in two.

Daniel 7:25, Daniel 12:7, Revelation 12:14 (time, times, half a time)

Revelation 13:5, Revelation 11:2  (forty two months)

Revelation 12:6 (1,260 days)

nu70x7.jpg

Indicating that there will be two tribulation periods in the one seven year time frame. One will be the Great Tribulation (in the end) the other will be a tribulation period for the saints.

Thus the rapture will take place in the middle of the 70th Week (which is not classical mid-trib eschatology which teaches one seven-year tribulation).

 There is no rapture

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
