Revelation 19:6   And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Revelation 19:7   Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 19:8   And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Revelation 19:9   And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Now compare

Luke 12:36   And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

A Suggestion: It's probably a good idea when you post to Clearly State your position/question.

(Revelation 19:6) "And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth."

(Revelation 19:7)  "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready".

(Revelation 19:8)  "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints".

(Revelation 19:9)  "And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God".

Compared to

(Luke 12:36) " And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately."

Since you don't have a Clear Question/Position.  I'll go ahead and Guess with what you're attempting to "imply" here and first ask the Obvious....

WHY , are you comparing Literal References of the Marriage Supper (In Revelation) with an Analogy (Simile, SEE "like unto" in the Luke Passage) of a Wedding in Luke?

What's your Thesis and/or Conclusion you are attempting to connect then postulate here?

Hi Enoch2021,

You still haven`t told me as to why you a male would want to be a female - `wife/bride?`

Marilyn.

Because the Wife is not a Male...as I have shown you, Repeatedly:

(2 Corinthians 11:2) "For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ."

(Ephesians 5:31-32) "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.  {32} This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church."

I've already discussed @ length with you these Two...Stamp on the Forehead Obvious Scriptures.  Now, if you wish to continue down "your" trail...then it will be without me.

Any further questions on this issue, see my comprehensive responses regarding this matter.

Hi Enoch2021,

You just said -

`Because the Wife is not a Male...as I have shown you, Repeatedly:`

But you dear friend, are a MALE!!!!!!

And you have not proven at all that you are a Bride. It is not a doctrine concerning the Body of Christ & you have not shown this.

1. No body of scriptures.

2. Not in line with Paul`s teaching on the Body being the New Man, perfected Man.

3. Not in line with the Old Testament doctrine of Israel being the wife, the bride.

I see we think differently on this but you have not discussed it honestly or proven it.

1. 1 Cor. 11: 2 is Paul speaking specifically to his converts & that is quite obvious by the context. Basic biblical interpretation.

2. Eph. 5: 31 - 32 is Paul speaking about husbands loving their wives as their BODIES. This love is as Christ loves HIS BODY.

Marilyn.

Hi Enoch2021,

I will explain what I mean by `honestly` discussing. You have not shown -

1. In 1 Cor. 11: 2 when Paul is talking to his converts, how is that for all of us? Do you apply the same reasoning when Paul is talking to his converts saying that they have become arrogant concerning a sin in their midst? (1 Cor. 5: 1 & 2) They are specifics for specific people.

2. In Eph. 5: 31 & 32 concerning the church,  the Body as Paul told us was the definition in Eph. 1: 22 & 23. Is that definition changed? Show us please.

3. Are we now to `replace` Israel as the `wife / bride?` You don`t believe in replacement theory.

4. How are we (the Body of Christ) saved by `righteous acts?` Can you prove that? (Rev. 19: 8)

Enoch you require that others will prove their points but here you are just posting scriptures & NOT proving anything. I fear it is too hot in the kitchen, as the saying goes. And I believe it is the fire of the Holy Spirit. In my flesh I would have liked to have said a few choice words to you. (not swearing but sarcasm) however the Holy Spirit within me comes to the fore & I care for you bro. & desire that you be `honest` in your discussion as you expect others to be.

Still your friend, Marilyn.

Greetings Enoch 2021

To me it seemed like an obvious contradiction.  I wanted to see if anyone could pick it up without me pointing it out.

I know that God does not contradict himself, so was curious that it may have a deeper meaning.

You are correct, it is an analogy.

Thank you brother.

Phew!  (wipe the sweat of my brow)

However, because of this, I have been really delving into all the scriptures referring to "the lambs wife, and "the lambs bride" and understand it much more clearer now.

Don't think there are any more than these, (but I could be mistaken)....

There are some concepts/Doctrines in Scripture that are "Slam Dunks" and others that require some digging and putting the pieces together.

This One fits in The "Slam Dunk" Category.

My answer to the original question:

The Virgin Bride of Christ ascends to the heavenly wedding at His Coming. Those who did not fall into this category at the Lord's coming, but thereafter have come to believe in Him, are His servants on earth who wait for his return from the wedding: these being "the remnant of Jacob" spoken of in a number of OT prophecies.

That latter coming is that which takes place in Rev. 19, Zech. 14, and Ezek 38-39. Note verse 12:37 from Luke which you didn't quote:

12:37 Blessed [are] those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

Rev. 19:17 Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond, both small and great.

Ezek 39:17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, [even] a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. 18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan. [etc.]

The Virgin Bride of Christ ascends to the heavenly wedding at His Coming.

Who's The Virgin Bride of Christ?

So the Virgin Bride "ascends" to heaven @ HIS Coming?

Well when Jesus RETURNS HE's "Descending" from Heaven to the Earth.  The Virgin Bride is "Ascending" to Heaven @ the Same Time.   See the problem?

Also, Please show this scenario @ HIS Coming....

(Revelation 19:7-16) "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.  {8} And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.  {9} And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.  {10} And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.  {11} And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.  {12} His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  {13} And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.  {14} And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  {15} And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.  {16} And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

From the Above passage "The Wife" is already in Heaven Before HIS Return.  Moreover, She Follows HIM with HIS armies when HE does Return (arrayed in fine linen, clean and white).

How Can She Be both: Ascending into Heaven when He's "Descending" (as you say) AND Be in Heaven before HE Returns and Follows HIM while HE'S Returning?

Lets figure the above out before moving on to this....

Those who did not fall into this category at the Lord's coming, but thereafter have come to believe in Him, are His servants on earth who wait for his return from the wedding: these being "the remnant of Jacob" spoken of in a number of OT prophecies.

Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
