Blessings hamletcat.....

I never nhave approached anyone(unbeliever),nor have I ever been lead or prompted to by the Pwer of the Holy Spirit ,addressing their sinful ways or lifestyle,,,,,,they do not need axny more sin condemnation that they already put on themselves or does the adversary......don't be surprised that they know very well what is sin & what is not,,,,,,,,,,,,,& that there is a God,Creator God

As I said ,your walk is key....your love, acceptance & forgiveness............you tell them how much they are loved, that Christ loves them & died for them exactly as they are          babies drink milk

I mean no disrespect but by you saying you only know to refer (or quote Scripture)....or desire to enlighten them to their sin only makes me believe that you are min the way of the Holy Spirit,do you know  I mean? You have to trust what the Lord can do with you,not decide how you what the Lord to draw men unto Himself or convict hearts,,,,,,,,,get out of the way,an open ,empty vessel is much easier to fill

                                                                                                    With love-in Christ,Kwik

This morning on of my Sisters & I were discussing someone that is probably a spammer,,,,,,,,,,if so,the mods will catch it right away, maybe an unbeliever, just not teachable or receptive....do we decide  how to approach her?Don't bother?Quote Scripture & condemn her?  Of course not,we pray for her don't engage in debate & continue to be kind, the Holy Spirit will lead when you yourself remain teachable.......takes a lot of prayer and communication with our Lord(relationship)

Atheism has many varieties depending on the strength of one's personal resolve to defy the living God who mane them and everything around them to exist. Seldom (if ever) is human resolve cut-and-dry (either / or). There's always a fudge factor or underlying doubt. Even in the faith there are doubts, concerns, fears... or we'd all be grabbing people by the neck ties / lapels and warning them about hellfire with a scary look on our faces...

"Repent!"

But even with the most assured atheist there is uncertainty... as with us all... which is why it is such a blessing to have the Word of God and the Holy Spirit active in our lives to bolster our faith. Truth is the only real foundation. God is truth. And with all these comes proof after proof to affirm our faith in Jesus Christ.  Or as Missler puts it, "believing is seeing." Atheists (or more accurately I-theists meaning they have determined there is no god so the by their personal determination fill the role as god) have none of these affirmations none of these assurances. And no matter how convinced they are, you can at least plant a seed of doubt in their "fortified" world view.

There's a crack in your fort, pal. Biogenesis is a subject itheists run from. "No one can know how it all began..." Bible says how it began. Bible withstood the test of time and scrutiny. Genesis is an eyewitness account dictated to Moses the scribe of that Eyewitness. Science cannot undermine Bible creation account as it can other creation accounts of false religions (including macro-evolution).

And the bottom line here is witness to them, try to win them to Christ... then move on. Keep trying only if God tasks you to... keep praying if the Spirit leads you to. But do not invest you otherwise successful evangelism talents and efforts on those who refuse to believe.

Some of the best reading / video resources you can at least off an itheist are the testimonies of former itheists (Josh McDowell, Dr. A.E. Widler-Smith etc).

It takes a thief to catch a thief.

There are a number of ex-Atheists who found Jesus, some of them were fiercely militant Atheists too. They are the best people to ask because they understand Atheist logic and Atheist apologetics.

Go to You Tube and type in "atheist finds Jesus" or similar. Some of the videos tell you everything you need to know.

You won't convert any Atheists, as they have their common sense still intact.

Notice hamletcat, their are no Atheists posters here. You may ask why is that? Well the simple answer is, it is very easy to defeat Christian beliefs on common sense alone. That's why Atheist posters are deleted or banned and do not feature on this forum.

This member was banned for many reasons years ago, since 2011.  Since then, this member has returned more times than I can count, never to discuss, only to demean and tell us how we are so wrong having faith in God.  This member, in their own mind, believes that we have no answer for their questions and that we ban them because of this.  The fact is, anyone who continues to break the Terms of Service is banned, despite what they believe or disbelieve, yet, this is above this members ability to comprehend.  The proof is in every one of the posts this member makes.

I have removed the personal insults and attacks this member had made toward those who have given reasons of faith.  I am leaving this post up so you can familiarize yourself with how this member posts.  If someone comes in here with this kind of attitude, please, let us know by reporting the post. ***

Their was actually more to the post above, none which contained any insults, but we're in response to JTC and Oakwood posts. Onelight was scared of my response, hence the remainder was deleted. He will also not repost what I said, due to exposing the lie he just told that all my posts are insults.

If we look at the forum as a whole. Their are no Atheist posts at all. So onelight either deems no Atheists come to the forum, which of course is not the case. Or all Atheists that have posted are insulting, which is simply unrealistic.

So we can clearly see Christians are scared of what other people post as they feel so insecure in their beliefs.

It is also funny when a Christian insults a Atheist, their posts are edited but not banned.

Well this is all very enlightning. Thank you everyone. I used to think I was an "atheist," but since starting to read the bible, going to church and talking to other Christians, I have discovered that I was never really an "atheist" I just thought I was. I will say I was not on track to the gift of eternal life, because I was in the dark, however that is because I believed I was an atheist and therefore lived that way.

I still function around atheists most often in my daily life and my hope is to one day bring them from the dark into light. The way it happened for me, but of course, I also realize that it might be difficult, so these posts really help in my quest to do that.

It is too bad that things can get "messy" with online forums, because I find them a great source of information and they really help me. I hope I never do anything to get banned. I try to be as respectful as possible because I appreciate people's opinions. I am not sure what a personal attack is, or what it looks like. If someone wants to give me some examples or a link, that would be great.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
