What is the difference between satans fear and the fear of God. I get this fear, where I can't sleep. I also have fear that something is going to happen to my husband, since he's not well and not ready for Jesus.

Great question! My short answer:

Satans fear is based in doubt.

God's fear is based in understanding.

Fear of God is the beginning of knowledge and departing from evil is understanding.

Fear of Satan is the beginning of ignorance and running toward evil is misunderstanding.

You are having trouble sleeping. One cause of this according to proverbs is not working hard enough. Jesus said occupy til he comes. We have to stay busy doing our father's business until the son comes.

I pray this all gets worked out for you.

Satan Lies

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Matthew 4:8-9

God Loves

And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. Mark 10:26-27

For the unbeliever, the fear of God is the fear of judgment and eternal death. For the believer the fear of God is the reverence for God Hebrews 12:28-29.There is no reason for a believer to fear Satan.God is much bigger than Satan.Pray often for you and your husband.Put your lives in God's hands totally. Then sit back and exercise your faith and let God work in your lives.

We are told that perfect love casts out fear. So night terrors do not come from God. Read the last of Romans 8. Nothing shall ever separate you from God's love. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for you.

But whenever you get the concern for your husband, even if it is constant, do pray for him. Ask that his heart may be softened, his eyes and ears may be opened, that he may come to repentance and saving knowledge of the truth.

1 Tim. 2:4

2 Peter 3:9

The fear of the the Lord is the Beginning.......of wisdom

the fear brings us to God....but once we are His that fear morphs into an awed respect

fear of circumstances also brings us places....where we don't want to go.

The is the perscription for the fear of circumstances and evil

Phil 4:

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
