Why does Israel of God include Gentiles???

You believe in one true God  but you fail to claim that Jesus is God.   The deity of Jesus is core to the Christian faith.   One cannot be a genuine follower of Jesus reject the deity of Jesus.   If you cannot confess Jesus as God, then yes, I call into question the salvation of those who claim that Jesus was just a man who died for their sins.

I am more than happy to go back and continue disputing with Shiloh over whether or not gentile believers are adopted Jews, but I have to say that Shiloh is correct about faith in Jesus and who he is.  If someone cannot come out and say Jesus Christ is God, they are outside the faith.  Jesus himself stated that before Abraham was, I am.  He made it clear he is God.  I am not going to make any assumptions about where you stand on this InChrist, so I will just ask if you believe Jesus Christ is God?  It does make a difference.

As far as you are concerned Shiloh, I gave you my interpretation of Romans 2:26-29, and I stand by it as being the correct interpretation.  All you did was give your own interpretation that differed from mine, and I don't agree with it.

Yes, Butero, you gave me your interpretation and then you claim you disagree with what I presented but can't really refute it.  I explained why you are wrong.    That's the difference. I can exegete the text and actually form a refutation.

No, you didn't answer the question.

Asking whether or not you believe Jesus is God is not a trinity issue.   It is a way gauging how you approach other doctrines.    You dance around the question because you don't accept Jesus as God.    A true follower of Jesus would have no problem at any time confessing Jesus as their God.   That you will not directly answer question means that you are hiding the fact you don't accept the deity of Jesus.

if you reject the deity of Jesus then you are actually, "outofChrist."

I am not going to discuss theology with someone who doesn't believe in Jesus as God.   We have nothing in common theologically.

The olive tree represents the commonwealth of Israel. The Jews are the branches, not the trunk. God grafted the gentiles into the roots. That's where you always graft a new branch. You don't graft into the other branches. Grafting takes place at the root level and the roots of this tree are Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That why Paul said that the wild branches are supported by the root.

Hi Shiloh,

Can I come in on your conversation with Butero? I think we all need to have a good look at this passage in Romans to clear up all the misunderstandings.

`….if the root is holy, so are the branches.

And if some of the branches were broken off, & you being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, & with them became partaker of the root & fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you…..(Rom. 11: 16 – 18)

Now who is the root which is holy?

Who gives the nourishment of the root & fatness?

Who is the one supporting, (the root does the supporting)?

Marilyn.

The root is the patriarchs where the wild branch is grafted into. that is where the nourishment is and it is root that supports wild branches grafted into it.

And scriptures, Shiloh, for them being holy & have the ability to nourish us all & support us all?

Again inchrist,   I have nothing to say to you.   You reject the deity of Christ and so I have nothing in common with you theologically.  I am not concerned with what you think about Dispensationalism.  That is neither here nor there.   If you reject the deity of Jesus, you are not a believer.   You might have religion , but you do not have the Christ of Scripture.   You believe in a false Jesus who was just a man and not God.

I can't talk theology with you at all since we start from two different positions on basic theology.  When you get saved and put your faith in the Divine Christ of the Bible, then we might have something to talk about.

Hi Marilyn,

The root is holy according to Rom.  11:16  We are nourished according to 11:17

The root supports us Rom. 11:18

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
