Thank you for your very detailed reply. Much good info there & I appreciated the different Greek words for heaven in your other reply. You have done a lot of study on this & I can quite understand your searching for the three words to fit into a model.

So my question was `Now God`s throne & the angelic hosts were obviously elsewhere before these areas (Atmosphere & Celestial heavens) were created. What do you say concerning where they are?
 

Where is God’s Throne? We are told several things:

Where can one go where God is NOT present?! NOWHERE! So, pinpoint for me where this “heaven” is and where His throne is!

There’s no localized place called “Heaven.” There’s no dimension called “Heaven.” The verses that talk about “heaven”; that is; “shaamaayim” or “ouranoi” or "the skies,” are verses that say or imply that God cannot be confined to ANY place!

I believe other such passages are also about the Son of God through whom the Father will reign until such time as the last enemy is finally subdued.

Then, at that time, Yeshua` shall hand over the Kingdom to His Father so that God is the ultimate Ruler of this earth.

The verses that talk about His throne are either verses that are speaking prophetically about Yeshua`s throne in His Kingdom OR they are talking about a dais, that is, a royal box found within the New Jerusalem.


So let`s see what we can agree on –

OVER ALL: `One God & Father of all who is over all & through all & in all. ` (Eph. 4: 6)
THE NEW JERUSALEM: `The throne of God & of the Lamb` in the New Jerusalem. (Rev. 22: 1)
OVER THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH: `The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord & of His Christ,..` (Rev. 11: 15) Christ`s throne over the nations.

Almost. First, one must be very careful in the quotation of Scripture. Ephesians 4:6 actually says, “and in YOU all.” The Textus Receptus is careful to include the word “humin,” translated as “you,” and even when one doesn’t include the word, the ending on “pasin” (translated as “all”) has the same case agreement as the word it modifies, which would be “humin,” even when it doesn’t appear!

 

It’s a subtle difference, but this additional word forces the meaning to be directed to the recipients of the epistle, not to all the believers in the world throughout time! He was specifically addressing the believers at Ephesus in his statement “and in YOU all.” It is not “and in all” believers!

 

The point is this: Just because this verse is like 1 Corinthians 15:28 in the use of multiple uses of “all,” that fact alone does NOT mean that they are identical in thought! These two verses are NOT synonymous, nor are they related!

 

Ephesians 4:4-6
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

These two passages are NOT talking about the same thing! Each one of these verses is context-specific! There’s a GREAT difference between God being “over all” and God being “all!"
 
A word-by-word investigation in each of these passages would produce a RICH understanding of what is truly being said. For instance the “hope of your calling” is NOT some vague “hope about your vocation” or a “hope about your ‘salvation’" (as most understand the word ‘salvation’); it’s the assurance/confidence/anticipation for our calling back to life in the future at the Resurrection! Should you die before the return of Yeshua`, you will hear a gentle but firm voice saying, “Marilyn, it’s time to wake up!” THAT is your “calling!"
 

What I am detecting/feeling is that you believe in the “NOW” of the Kingdom. I believe that the Kingdom will not only be quite literal, but is in the FUTURE! Revelation 11:15 has not yet occurred. Therefore, its present tense is not applicable to our time; it will be applicable WHEN Yeshua` has returned.

 

Furthermore, the Kingdom is NOT in some “heaven”; it will be here on this earth, specifically, in Israel, both in the future Millennium and in the New Earth following the Millennium. 

 

Another often-misunderstood word is the word “glory.” The Greek word is “doxa” and refers to whatever makes someone or something STAND OUT, like white against a black background! It’s talking about what makes someone or something very APPARENT! When the Scriptures say “then shall we appear with Him in glory,” it is NOT talking about our appearance with Him in a PLACE! It’s talking about our ability to GLOW as Yeshua` glows in God’s presence!

 

I could be wrong about what I am sensing; so, if I’m wrong, please tell me.

I am appreciating this discussion with you. Now I am glad you pointed out my mistake. I was using my NAS & not my NKJ. And when I was writing it I did have a check on that, but didn`t follow it up. So thank you for the correction.

That will be great to hear, if I die before the Lord comes. However that is not how I see our `calling.` I see that the Ekklesia (called out ones) in the wilderness, are Israel & the Ekklesia (called out ones) in the Body of Christ, as two different callings. That is why I believe Paul encouraged us, the Body of Christ to do as he was doing –

`I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.` (Phil. 3: 14)

No Retro, I do not believe in Kingdom Now. That is Dominionist teaching isn`t it, saying we have been given dominion now to rule & reign. So that is something we don`t have to work through. I`m not sure how you came to think that. Anyway I only drew out those points as to some things I could see in your comments that we seemed to agree on. And it`s good to get clarification as really we don`t fully know all of each other`s beliefs. However I`m sure that as we progress we`ll cover much ground, as you see like I do, that this topic really about covers everything.

I thought this needed some discussion. This word `kingdom` is a bit like `heaven` in that it is used in God`s word in a variety of settings.

OVER ALL.

`The Lord has established His throne in heaven, & His kingdom rules over all.` (Ps. 103: 19)

Kingdom – Heb. `malkuyah,` - a rule, a dominion, empire, kingdom, realm, reign, royal.

The meaning here I see as including angels, authorities, people – all realms.

ON EARTH.

`And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed;…` (Dan. 2: 44)

Kingdom – Heb. `malkuw,` corresponding to `malkuyah,` dominion, kingdom, kingly realm, reign.

This is the kingdom (rule of God) that Israel was looking for, as promised. That is the kingdom rule that Jesus spoke about to the people of Israel, (in Matthew, `Christ the King` aspect). Jesus used the words `Kingdom of Heaven,` I believe, referring to this passage from Daniel. `the God of heaven will set up a kingdom,` - `the kingdom of heaven,` the rule of the God of heaven on earth.

There are other specific areas that I would like to discuss, concerning God`s rule over them, but will wait till I hear from you as to what I have written.

Let’s look a little closer at this verse:

Again, the challenge is the translation of the word “bashaamayim.” The “b-“ prefix meaning “in” and the patach vowel sound “ah” as in “father,” for the definite article, gives us the full translation of “in-the-skies.” However, the word “bakol” also has the same prefix, “b-“ prefix meaning “in” and the patach vowel sound “ah” as in “father,” gives us technically the same full translation of “in-the-all.” Now, one has to make a decision: does one translate the “b-“ as “over” in one place more than in the other? OR, does one translate them both as “in?” OR, does one translated them both as “over?"

 

Add to this the additional meaning of the “b-“ prefix, namely “with,” and we compound the problem of translation that much more (NINE possibilities in English translation)!

Of course, the MAIN interpretation for the “b-“ prefix is “in.” So, which one did the author of this psalm intend to be understood in Hebrew? Well, Shlomoh (Solomon), David’s son, was the one who used the phrase “shmeey hashaamayim” the most, and David was the one who wrote this psalm. We also know that David taught his sons and all Israel through the words of his psalms:

He TAUGHT Shlomoh that “shmeey hashaamayim” was not able to contain Eloheenuw (our God) YHWH!
 
The Theocratic Kingdom (which J. Dwight Pentecost talks about in his book Things To Come) is indeed what we see in the OT. That God intended for His Kingdom to be all of Israel is clear in ...
(1) His rescue of the children of Israel from Egypt,
(2) His revelation of His fire and His voice to them when He established His Torah on HaHar Sinai,
(3) His liberation of most of His Land under Yehowshu`ah (Joshua) and
(4) the establishment of His rulership over them, first through His priests, then through His judges, and finally through His kings who bowed to Him as their Over-King.
 
Then, however, because of Israel’s long-standing idolatry, God punished His nation of Israel in the captivities of Asshur, of Bavel and Persia.
 
Finally, after some of them returned to the Land, He provided them with His Choice for King - His Mashiyach - His Messiah, Yeshua`. REMEMBER: He was called “the King of the Jews” at both His birth and at His death! Although the elders of Yhudah failed to make Him their King, as their ancestors had done for David, killing Yeshua` on the cross, and burying Him, and having the Roman governor set his seal upon the tomb, instead, God the Father, RESURRECTED His Son back to life, and took Him up out of their reach.

The solution is simple: Gentile Christians are a SUBSET of the “church in the wilderness” a.k.a. the “children of Israel.” It’s not that they were an afterthought; rather, they were INTENDED to be grafted into the “church” while the Jews today are dormant, awaiting their awakening just prior to the return of the Messiah. The Gentile believers have become part of the Mishpachah! Part of the Family!

Christ’s enemies - the Messiah’s enemies - are ANYONE who touches “the apple (pupil) of God's eye,” “His inheritance!” 

 

Deuteronomy 32:8-10

8 When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.
9 For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

Thus, anyone who is anti-Semitic is His enemy. Anyone who is against His people is His enemy, and His people include the Gentiles who believe that Yeshua` is the Messiah (Jesus is the Christ) of God.

Therefore, it is “every chief or leader, every right or privilege, and force or power or ability.” I think that you are fishing for me to say that some of these chiefs or leaders or forces or powers are supernatural; however, based solely on these verses, I don’t think we need to go there.

 

Now, if you want me to include some of the “princes” (“sariym” or “heroes”) of different peoples, such as “the prince of the kingdom of Persia” (sar malkhuwt Paarac = hero-of kingdom/dominion/rule-of Persia) or “Miykhaa-Eel” (which means “Who is like God?”), then we can include them, as long as you realize that they, too, are earth-bound, although their existence seems to extend over many normal lifetimes, IF they are indeed single, separate individuals! (The term may actually refer to a position or a title that more than one person might hold down through time.)

Therefore, “Miykhaa-Eel” is said to have existed shortly some time after the death of Mosheh (Moses), at the time Daniel was praying in Persia, at the time of Herod the Great (the one who built his palace "between the seas in the glorious holy mountain,” or between Herod and the “time of trouble”), and will exist in the future when there is war in the sky and the Dragon and His messengers are grounded.
 
The exact interpretations of each of these passages is vague and therefore highly speculative. We REALLY need to be careful and flexible when delving into these interpretations.

What is the job of a king? Not only does a king make decisions for his dominion and his people, but he is a JUDGE for his people! In Israel especially, such as in the time of Shlomoh (Solomon), the king was the “supreme court” of the Land! What he decided was final! In the eyes of the people and because of his great God-given wisdom, Shlomoh could do no wrong! The Kingdom prospered under his rule!
 
This is how it will be when Yeshua` the Messiah of God (God’s Choice for King) returns to take up the throne.

42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. 
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house. 

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
