Sitting here, I've just come to terms that someone I really love has died. She was shot, and lived 3 days, and then died. I've been witnessing to her, and each time, she rejected the gospel. She didn't reject, me just Jesus. There's a verse in the bible that basically says, once you've made contact with someone, if they don't hear about the gospel and get saved, their blood in eternity is on your hands. I'm feeling so sad, because she rejected the gospel and I have no clue as to how to go about life. I feel so lost and alone, but God will take care of me . . . eventually. This is for all christians out there. Remember, if you don't lead them to christ, in eternity their blood is on your hands. As society members, we like our hands clean. IF WE ARE THE BODY. . . why aren't we reaching out to save people with God on our sides. WORLD CHRISTIANS WAKE UP!! What is it going to take to get the christians moving. In my grief, I'm calling for a world renewal. If you don't get them in church and get them saved, your hands will not be clean in eternity. WAKE UP!!

Ezekiel 33:1 Again the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman:

3 If when he see the the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people;

4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.

5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul.

6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.

I know that it hurts that your friend did not receive Christ, but you did warn her. You did "sound the trumpet." So her decision was in her hands and the blood is not on your hands.

You are right, it is a grave responsibility we have. We know the truth. We have the cure to the deadliest disease there is....SIN. What are we doing with our knowledge. Are we just sitting here debating the nuances of the cure, or are we out there sharing it with a sin-sick world?

I'll pray for you, that God will give you grace and peace. Thank you for the wake up call.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss...I'll pray for you....but you have done what God wanted you to do...you WILL NOT be held accountable because this person chose not to believe. You did your part in telling her of the gift of Jesus...when she refused it, it was no longer on your shoulders. So don't worry.

I can't find the verse but it does say we are to spread the good news to our brothers...if we don't...then their blood is on our hands...but if we tell our brothers and they reject it then we are NOT held accountable.

Love and Blessings,

Angel

3rd,

I am so sorry for your loss. You are right about the need to witness. I wish I could make this time easier for you. I know what it is like to cope with the violence of guns. My sister in law was hurt by it, and my husbands cousin was killed by it. If you ever wish to talk about it, please do not hesitate to talk to me. Either in PM on the boards, or in chat. Im always there, just ask for me, someone will know to get ahold of me. God bless you.

Hi 3rd.

Thank you for sharing your heart during this hard time...death can often be a wake up call to what life is really all about. I remember years ago witnessing pretty feebly to a man who later went and laid his head on a railway line...it was a shock...and although I was a young Christian I felt somewhat responsible and in a way helpless and inadequate.

I am sure this is not your situation because you have discharged what you needed to and given your friend the Gospel...but we can often look back on these things and try to rewrite the scenario in our minds...what if.

We all need to be aware that peoples eternal destiny is what the Gospel is all about...and what has been entrusted to us through the foolishness of preaching is an awesome and precious responsibility.

May we all wake up and do what we are called to do faithfully as servants of the L-rd...but ultimately it is the L-rd who does the harvesting.

1Corinthians 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, no glory is to me. For necessity is laid on me; yea, woe is to me if I do not preach the gospel!

3rd,

My heart goes out to you. Reaching out/ministering unto others can perhaps sometimes pose as the biggest challenge within one's walk with Christ. For not all will come to accept God's word, or the promise of Salvation that was made upon our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ's dying on the cross for all mankind.

What will happen between yourself and God will remain a mystery until your appointed time. Yes, we are held accountable for those of which were not ministered unto. Though, I am inclined to agree with the others in regards of your current situation. For the word was freely ministered unto her, and God's love freely given but there was no desire within her heart to accept it.

Free will is perhaps man's biggest downfall seeing as so often we are ones to choose the way of sin which at times, does appear far easier a walk than that with Christ Jesus.

Keep the faith, and hold your head up. The battle may have been lost, but not the war of which believers fight daily against satan.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

I don't remember reading that anywhere. If you had never wittnessed to her and God had told you to then maybe you would answer for it. But you told her about Jesus and she choose to reject the gospel and Him. This is not your fault. Try and let it go. You never know what she did in those last few hours. God grace is very deep. He hears even the smallest cry. You did what you were led to do. Trust Him with the results. I will be praying.

if a person rejects Christ, after you have shown them, lead them to Him ( cant make them drink, no one made you drink ( accept Christ ) of the Living Water )

a watchman is to sound the alarm of impending doom, or attack, and the citizens then are to take heed and listen to the alarm / warning and do what they need to do, or they can ignore the alarm / warning. if the watchman does his job, the blood of those choosing not to respond to the alarm, is on their own hands, but, if the watchman does not sound the alarm because they do not feel that anyone is listening, or because they become scared of what people might think, then the blood of those that are lost is on their hands.......

this goes for all of us..... if we choose not to attempt to lead people to Christ, then the blood of their souls is on our hands, if we share the Gosple, and then they reject us and or Christ, then the blood is no longer on our hands but on their own.

do not stop sharing the Lord with people, continue.....

i know it is hard, cause i know of one that i let slip thru, and i did not do all i could do for him. I am forgiven, and i must move on, if i stop because i let one slip thru, or maybe cause i think i let one slip thru and maybe some one else caught him as i dropped the ball, and he is with the Lord, then i am letting others down by not doing anymore.....

We had her funeral today. but I didn't go. I was the one, "freak" as labeled by her parents, and they are antheists, so they had a thing in some church because she was friends with alot of christians. Today was probably the first time they've been in a church. I didn't go, because funerals kinda "say goodbye" to the deceased. I think that i shouldn't be made to say goodbye. I mean, it's no way to die, being shot by your boyfriend. Gosh I miss her so much. I don't know if this grief will ever ease up. Is it bad that I didn't go to her funeral? Instead of going there, I went to the places we met up at, like the same booth we always sat in, and just meditated. I haven't come to terms of her passing, but I will say that I need your prayers so much. This bunny has no hopping to do right now, so to speak. Thanks for everything guys.

Third,

Funerals are something of which can be proven healing unto many people, however it cannot be said of all. Sometimes it can indeed make matters worse. Everyone is different so sometimes release must be done in another way.

It is understandable that the heart is trying to accept the fact that she is gone. Time as well as God's love can heal all wounds. There is nothing wrong with keeping this friend's memory alive within your heart. Just try not to dwell on her death...try to keep the best moments of which were experienced with her within your heart.

Do hope that God grants your heart some peace after this tragedy.

With Love In Christ,

Danielle

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
