(Worthy News) – President Barack Obama lashed out at critics, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who argue that a recently inked nuclear agreement with Iran does little to rein in the rogue regime's ability to construct a bomb, during a press conference Wednesday, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

Asked to respond to those who have criticized the deal as dangerous for America, including members of Congress and other world leaders, Obama defended the agreement and urged those fighting against him to present a better alternative.

"I'm not concerned what others say about it," Obama told reporters.

The president also admitted that he does not expect the agreement to help to moderate Iran or dampen its support for terrorism across the globe.

President Obama conceded Wednesday that lifting economic sanctions on Iran will boost that country's economy and let it funnel more money to Hezbollah and other terrorist groups, but said the only real alternative would still present Tehran with a windfall of cash, and reduce U.S. influence over its nuclear program.

"Do we think that with the sanctions coming down, that Iran will have some additional resources for its military and for some of the activities in the region that are a threat to us and a threat to our allies?" Obama said at the White House in response to a question about the Iran nuclear deal. "I think that is a likelihood, that they've got some additional resources."

Obama then tried to downplay that possibility. "Do I think it's a game-changer for them? No," he said.

Let's put aside the suspicion that the President didn't want a good deal with Iran.

 

The US got a bad deal because Iran had nothing to fear from us.  The President, early on in his tenure, recalled the US military from Iraq.  Had he not done this, we would've had a large army on the border with Iran and would have been able to negotiate with a stronger hand.  The President hamstringed himself with this deal, because of a poor decision he made early on in his Presidency.  This single mistake, either with good intentions or bad, competent or incompetent, may bring about another world war.

 

Using the President's own words: "Elections have consequences."

 

The 8 years of his presidency will be remembered as the darkest days of the US since the Civil War, if we survive it.

Same here.   Obama wanted a deal.  Any deal.  He can't walk away without a deal.   So he got a crummy deal, but to him, all that matters is he got  a deal.  He has a feather to stick in his hat and that is all he really wanted.

 

A real president would have tied the deal to the release of four American hostages/prisoners who are languishing in Iran.  They are expendable, though, as far as this administration is concerned.

In addition to that it appears that the US is going to help Iran protect its nuclear facilities that includes any attempt by Israel to sabotage their nuclear facilities.
