I believe the VeriChip is the forerunner of the mark because the scriptures say the mark will be given IN the right hand or the forehead, not ON.

The word in latin for "IN" is the same one for the word "ON".

In capite = in head, on the head

in capitem = into the head, onto the head

it could be either.

Let's see? What could be termed as 'IN' and 'ON'? - a tattoo? Hmmm!!

I read somewhere (unfortunately I have no reference to this...) that some technological companies where looking into 'print' that could be read/scanned like a barcode but would be able to contain far more data. And any thoughts as to why the RIGHT hand and not the left hand or shoulder or arm? Why would it have to be the right hand or the forehead? Would this be just the required thing (command) or is their a biological/technological reason for this?

The Bible stipulates that the mark will be in the right hand or in the forehead but currently these Verichips are placed in the upper arm or just below the elbow and is not specific to the right or left sides.
