This came through the e-mail.

For some - this will be what to expect.

For others - this will be a "wait and see."

For some - this will be interesting to look back to at the end of the year and see what came to be and what didn't.

For others - this will be an excuse to post against the people from who this comes.

Whatever camp you are of, here it is for review.

Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders

Word of the Lord for 2005

While some of these prophecies may be fulfilled in 2005, we think that wisdom dictates that we should not put a specific time table to these prophecies because a number of variables can take place. In other words, we recognize that these words are conditional rather than in-conditional prophecies. Conditional prophecies leave room for God to intervene.

Two of the variables are:

1. Intercession can change the course of events.

2. The mercy of God can be extended when individuals and nations repent (as was the case with Jonah and Nineveh)

We are moving into a season of tremendous revelation. There will be an increase upon the revelatory gifts, mixed with the teaching gift, to release keys to see nations reformed and transformed.

(snip)

It is a time to form new relationships and strengthen those you have walked with for many days. Covenantal relationships will work together in new ways. As Joseph re-distributed seed, in the days of crisis, the Lord will re-distribute wealth. Great networking will take place between Christian ministries and many will turn their hearts to the poor. Great funds will be given such as the release in the past few years of one billion dollars to the Salvation Army.

The African American Church in America will see a rising up of some leaders and a putting down of others based on where they stand on justice and righteousness.

We are in a season of shakings. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. There will be continued physical disasters where the plates of the earth will shift. In the midst of these shakings, God will rise up regional apostles and prophets, who will be able to issue decrees, then see the natural disasters stop or be lessened in their city or region.

Much sin is going to be uncovered, including more homosexuality found in the church. Financial improprieties will also come to light. Leaders will call for more accountability.

God is moving in the earth. We are entering a decade in which we will see one of the greatest harvests of souls the earth has ever experienced. With this will be a tremendous outpouring of signs and wonders. Prophetic evangelism will be on the rise with signs and wonders accompanying - especially in the marketplace. A tidal wave of God's glory will come upon the church.

A revival will occur in the marketplace with apostles rising and being set in place who will be people of great influence in their cities and nations. Apostolic leaders in the marketplace, who have been faithful, are going to be receiving promotions. This will manifest in these leaders having significant business opportunities supernaturally brought to them without their having sought them. It will happen with such frequency that these Apostles will have to develop teams to perform due-diligence in order to determine which of the opportunities they should undertake. The prophets in their spheres will also be involved in the project selection, once the due-diligence has been developed.

Angelic activity will increase. Children will experience visitations of angels and proclaim this across the nations. This will be a sign even to unbelievers.

A special season of restoration will take place. There is an escalation of all things and this will manifests in a restoration of relationships that have looked impossible to mend.

Leaders will have a special emphasis on lineage and legacy. The generations will be knit even closer together as one generation mentors another. There will also be special mantles poured out upon new leaders as they rise up a new generation of giants like unto Oral Roberts for evangelism and Aimee Semple McPhearson for healing.

New "Samuel" prophets will come to the forefront that will help nations and those with vision, transition

I am totally unfamiliar with the council that issued this statement but I don't buy it, BECAUSE it contains both political and unbiblical statements. For instance, instead of condemning the war in Iraq as a moral abomination that is serving the interests of Satan by arousing Muslim hate throughout the world, the statement gives support to it.It goes on to state that God started a fire in California because the voters of that state approved stem cell research to find medical cures.I am certain that God isn't laughing but that line sounds like something a late-night television comedian would say.Since the period of tribulation hasn't started,God isn't going around setting fires because he objects to election results.Any human doing that would be sent to a psychiatric hospital. The statement also fails to mention the rapture which the Holy Spirit has told me will occur this year, but instead starts talking about the 2008 elections in the United States. The last time I checked,God has no interest in any elections any where at any time because He doesn't support the concept of democracy.I am certain it will come as a great shock to those who are dying "fighting for democracy" but political freedom is a concept that has no relevance to Christianity. The clearest proof that this document is a human political statement can be found when it states that God messed around with polling stations so George Bush would be elected the president of the United States because he is a man of war which is exactly what God was looking for.Let's all hope that's a statement of absurdity because if true it will put God in total opposition to Jesus who never once advocated war for any cause or under any circumstance period. In fact it was Jesus who stated:"ALL WHO TAKE UP THE SWORD SHALL PERISH WITH THE SWORD".If the election was rigged,it wasn't God who did it.

OK - I don't mind people having disagreements with the "word" given for whatever reason, and I decided to ignore turning this thread into another debate about the War on Terror.

But this statement . . . ?

OK, since the Scriptures encourage prophetic words to be confirmed, do you have any confirmation to give to this prophecy?

I am not wise enough to discern prophetic words. The only thing I do know is that time will tell if it's true or not.

I am joining Nebula in asking Counselor what confirmation he has regarding his statement that the Holy Spirit gave him the knowledge that the rapture will occur this year.

Lastly, Counselor, you said...

"For instance, instead of condemning the war in Iraq as a moral abomination that is serving the interests of Satan by arousing Muslim hate throughout the world..."

That is merely your opinion and not a fact. Just as the following statement is...

"The last time I checked,God has no interest in any elections any where at any time because He doesn't support the concept of democracy."

Forgive my bluntness in what I'm about to say. My intention is not to be rude in any way. But your post comes across as pompous and haughty, not as one with spiritual authority or insight. I'm very interested in what you have to say, actually. It's just that the way you are saying things seems to get in the way. It's like that old saying, "It's not what you say, but how you're saying it."

Maybe A "spirit" told you, but it was not the Holy Spirit.

I have no idea when/if the rapture is going to happen, however I might add here that Christian Counselor does not break scripture by saying that the rapture will happen this year. He is not quoting the day or the hour, which we are told no one knows ecxept the Father, but the year.

If there is a pre trib rapture and I had to guess when it would be, this year would be my guess (only guess) for a bunch of reasons.

Patiently waiting for the end,

yeah... guessing is one thing. Saying "The Holy Spirit told me..." is another thing altogether.

I'm very interested too when this is going to happen.

You check things with God?

And He told you the answer?

;) Sam . . .

Not knowing the day nor the hour is kind-of an expression to imply that the time is completely unknown. "Year" sort-of fits into the scenario by default.

And I think this is the - oh - fifth or sixth or is it seventh time I have heard: "Christ will return this year!" (God revealed or otherwise reason.)

Well, no one has been correct yet! ;)

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
