Does a woman have a specific role in the End Times?

Only metaphorically. So we have two women, one clothed with the sun (redeemed Israel, Rev 12) and the other clothed in purple and scarlet (Mystery Babylon, Rev 17).

The prophecy regarding the seed of the woman is an intimation of the virgin birth of Christ, who would crush Satan at the Cross, and has nothing to do with either of these "women".

Ezra

The prophecy in Genesis has EVERYTHING to do with the woman clothed in the sun who is NOT Israel by the way, nor earthly, but heavenly because the moon is under her feet, meaning she's from above, not below.  This woman represents the City of Truth, Holy Jerusalem, where we get our teachings from, not Mary.  Christ was born in the flesh out of this woman (her teachings), symbolically.

Revelation 12:17   And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 3:15   And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The serpents teachings will never agree with God's teachings.  Nor can the devil's children ever be one with God's children.  It's that simple.  The devil will make war with the Woman's seed which are those who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

So if you say that the woman is "redeemed Israel", and the dragon makes war with her seed, then answer me please, who is redeemed Israel? Was she redeemed already when she gave birth to Christ?

And where do the gentiles who have the testimony of Christ fit in?  Does the dragon go to make war with them too, or just with "redeemed Israel"

The woman CANNOT represent a city for this very simple reason (Rev 12:5):

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

This man-child is none other than King-Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, who came forth from Israel, and is therefore the Lion of the tribe of Judah, and rules with a rod of iron.  He certainly did not come out of the New Jerusalem, but that is where He went, when He was "caught up unto God, and to His throne".

Why are we getting so confused about matters which are clear and plain?

Redeemed Israel are the believing remnant of Israel.  In spite of Israel's apostasy for hundreds of years, there was always a believing remnant (Rom 11:1-6). Mary and Joseph, along with Simeon and Anna, were a part of that believing remnant.  Thus Christ came forth from the believing or redeemed remnant of Israel. So also, during the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation, there will be a believing Jewish remnant (Rev 12:6,17).

And where do the gentiles who have the testimony of Christ fit in?  Does the dragon go to make war with them too, or just with "redeemed Israel"

Revelation 12 has nothing to do with Gentiles. However Rev 13:7 tells us that power was given to the Beast "over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations" (Gentiles).

Ezra

Revelation 12:1   And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

Mary was NEVER in heaven.

Mary was chosen for her purpose, but she was not that woman clothed with the sun.  The sun represents light, truth.  Mary did not give us the light, but the Word of God did.  We come to the light because of the Word of the Lord, because in his Word is truth.  His Word is from above, heavenly, and full of light because it gives life.

God is using this woman to symbolise his Kingdom, his holy city where there is truth. She's pictured as a woman because she produces children from her teachings.  Christ came out of this same kingdom depicted as a woman when he was born flesh.  He came out of a heavenly kingdom full of light and truth with teachings that bring salvation and not death.

You are looking at the carnal, not the spiritual message.  You are seeing Mary here as the highlight, when in fact, she is under this same kingdom, ..under this woman also, and not the woman.

John 1:5   And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

He certainly did not come out of the New Jerusalem, but that is where He went, when He was "caught up unto God, and to His throne".

John 17:8   For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

John 6:33   For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

John 6:48   I am that bread of life.

There was no "redeemed" Israel when this woman produced a man child (Christ).  How can redeemed Israel exist before the preaching of Christ has even begun?  A few souls do not make up "redeemed Israel".  You are getting this mixed with Israel in the Millennium when they are clearly shown Christ and learn his teachings.

So in your eyes, the believing gentiles will be ok?  Satan will leave them alone, and just go after believing Israel?  We might as well all sit back and relax then, for he's not coming after us.

Satan came after Christ and the apostles, but not us gentiles because we must be something real special?

Mary was NEVER in heaven.

1. I never suggested that this woman clothed with the sun was Mary, but Mary was indeed the virgin from believing or redeemed Israel who brought forth  the Man-Child. So Mary belongs to this symbolic woman.  God has always had a believing remnant in Israel, and I also gave you a Scripture reference for that which you ignored.

2. Mary was indeed in Heaven after she died. So how can you say "Mary was NEVER in Heaven"?  All those who die in Christ as in Heaven, and Mary is one of the saints.

How can redeemed Israel exist before the preaching of Christ has even begun?  A few souls do not make up "redeemed Israel".

Why don't you read and study Hebrews chapter 11 carefully? That will give you your answer.  All those in Israel who were justified by grace through faith make up "redeemed Israel", and they were not just a handful.

So in your eyes, the believing gentiles will be ok?  Satan will leave them alone, and just go after believing Israel?  We might as well all sit back and relax then, for he's not coming after us.

Sister, you have a knack for getting everything mixed up. I already pointed you to Revelation 13:7, but you did not care to look it up.  Revelation 12 is just before Revelation 13, and they are both connected.  This is the time when Satan is cast down to the earth with all his evil angels, following which the Antichrist takes control of the world. "He's not coming after us" because we are not on earth at that time. Any believing Gentiles during that time who refuse to take the mark of the Beast will be beheaded.

BTW, all those quotations from the Gospel of John have no relevance and no bearing on the subject.  So quoting those passages simply adds to spiritual confusion.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
