but I heard that isis has already started holding back water ,and that is the water that feeds the Euphrates, but that is just what I thought I heard in a video a while back, I could be wrong, but I will look into where I saw or heard that , thanks

Note: the city of Baghdad is just across the way from the city of Babylon. Now why would the USA have the biggest embassy in the world right there. You tell me.

Marilyn.

Hi WilliamL,

Well we wont have long to wait & see - Babylon in Iraq or Rome. The next few years will tell. I also think that the `terrifying beast` of Dan. 7: 7 accurately describes which one.

Babylon is in both. Rev. 19's Babylon the Whore is Rome, which was Peter's name for the city in 1 Peter 5:13. That was what early Christians called Rome.

Actually, Baghdad is 50 miles north of Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon, according to my map. Both are within Babylonia, of course.

Hi WilliamL,

Thank you for that detail re Babylon 50 miles from Baghdad. Now why do you think the USA have built the biggest Embassy in the world near there?

BTW Just because the early Christians saw Rome as representing `Babylon` (World Power), doesn`t mean that that is where it will end up in our time. Remember the prophecy in Zechariah -  `This is Wickedness....in the land of Shinar...` (Zech. 5: 5 - 11) Shinar as we well know is in Iraq, & specifically the area of Babylon.

Marilyn.

Main reason? Oil.

Rev. 19 includes a prophecy about our time, and Rome being burned; as so many others have seen also. But that doesn't preclude the fulfillment of the OT End Time prophecies about Mesopotamian Babylon. Such as Isaiah 13, which I quoted earlier.
