Do babies and unborn children go to heaven when they die? considering they were born and will be born sinners, does God gave an exception to them?

because for me it will be unfair(on my own judgement) to let them be in hell without giving them chance to know the Lord Jesus Christ, to accept Him as their saviour and be with Him.

10. Where Do Infants Go When They Die? 2 Samuel 12 (death of a baby)

Background: This was a young child, who suddenly died.

There is a passage of Scripture in the Book of II Samuel which offers each of us great comfort in the death of this little one whose death as an infant may seem untimely,

Then the Lord struck the child that Uriah's widow bore to David, so that he was very sick. David therefore inquired of God for the child; and David fasted and went and lay all night on the ground. And the elders of his household stood beside him in order to raise him up from the ground, but he was unwilling and would not eat food with them. The it happened on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they said, "Behold, while the child was still alive, we spoke to him and he did not listen to our voice. How then can we tell him that the child is dead, since he might do himself harm!" But when David saw that his servants were whispering together, David perceived that the child was dead; so David said to his servants, "Is the child dead?" And they said, "he is dead." So David arose from the ground, washed, anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he came into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Then he came to his own house, and when he requested, they set food before him and he ate. Then his servants said to him, What is this thing that you have done? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept; but when the child died, you arose and ate food." And he said, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, 'Who knows, the Lord may be gracious to me, that the child may live.' But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will nt return to me." (II Samuel 12:15-23).

We know the background to the death of this child all too well. David sinned by committing adultry with Bathsheba and then seeking to cover it up by the murder of her husband, Uriah. God rebuked David for his sin through Nathan the prophet. As a consequence of David's sin with Bathsheba, the child of their illicit union was stricken with a serious illness. Throughout this period of illness, David fasted and prayed, beseeching God to save the life of the child.

God did not choose to restore the health of the child and it died. David's servants were very reluctant to tell him of the child's death. They feared that his grief might be to great and he might do himself harm. They did not have to tell David, because he sensed that the child had died. When asked about it directly, they could not deny it.

The servants were shocked by what happened next. David ceased his mourning and fasting and began to go about life normally. David's response to the child's death was the reverse of what they had expected. When they could not restrain themselves any longer, they asked him pointedly, "Why you responded this way?" David's response is found in verses 22 and 23. It is here that we can find the faith and hope to go on living after the death of the child.

1. David Was Confident His Child Was in Heaven.

While the child was still alive, David was right to beseech God for mercy and healing. But once the child was dead, David could accept this as the will of God, knowing that his child was in heaven. His statement, "I shall go to him, but he will not return to me," indicated that he knew he could not bring the child back, so fasting and prayer for the child was no longer appropriate. When he spoke of going to be with the child, he gives evidence to his faith that the child still lives, but now in heaven. OF greatest comfort to David was the knowledge that while his sins of adultry and murder, were the cause of the child's death, this in no way changed the fact that the child was in heaven.

Why can David be so certain that his child is now in heaven? The answer is not given in this passage. It is perhaps most clearly explained in Romans chapter 5. There, Paul teaches us that it was Adam's sin which made each of us sinful by nature. But he also taught that the death of Jesus Christ has reverses the consequences of Adam's sin, allowing God to give eternal life to all who are "in Christ." By sinning against God, we identify with Adam, and demonstrate that we are worthy of God's judgment and death. By trusting in Christ, we are forgiven of our sins and given the righteousness which leads to eternal life. Infants, by virtue of being born of man and therefore are the descendants of Adam, and consequently must face physical death. But because they have not willfully resisted and rejected the revealed word of God, the death of Christ covers their sins and we can thus be assured that they will go to heaven.

2. David was assured that he would go to heaven, to be with his child.

It is not difficult to believe that David's child would go to heaven. What is more difficult to believe is that David is certain he will be there with the child. While the child did not sin, David had. David had taken another man's wife. David had murdered Uriah, the husband of the child's mother. What possible reason can we find for David's hope of heaven?

The answer to this is found in the 51st Psalm. There we read that David confessed his sin to God and sought His forgiveness. If David can be assured of God's forgiveness for the sins of adultery and murder, surely you and I can be assured of forgiveness as well.

Conclusion

There is great comfort for us in this account of David's sin, and of his hope in the death of his child when we consider the death of this little one. We may, like David, be assured that this child is in heaven, with the Lord. Our confidence in this rests in the work of Christ on the cross of Calvary.

For us who remain and who are adults, the forgiveness of sins and the hope of heaven is not automatic. We must, like David, confess our sins and trust in God's forgiveness. No matter how great our sins, God will forgive and we may be assured of heaven.

There is no question as to where this child is this very moment. The only question is whether we will claim the forgiveness of God in Christ and thus be assured of heaven as well.

From what little we have in Scripture, it would seem that babies and unborn children do go to Heaven. Since Christ is the propitiation for the sins of the whole world, we can rest assured that God's justice and mercy will both apply.

I have to be honest, and I am in no disrespect to anyone, but I will give what I believe is to be the truth from what I believe of a loving God, so please bare with me for this is very sensitive for many and I want to encourage and build  up people in the faith AND TO KNOW THAT GOD AND JESUS IS LOVE,

we as a people are born sinful and we are in a need of a savior to bridge the Gap from the sinful fallen people we are to cross the bridge given to us by the father God in heaven by the son of God Jesus, so we are sinful , but we are to come to the point of acknowledging we are a sinful people to be able to surrender our selves for salvation , this is a fact and truth ,

now when it comes to babies, we all love babies, but I believe if we are all in understanding of the sin of man by adam that we are all born sinners into the world , and then we set our path and if we are saved we follow God if we are not then we are separated from God,  now as children and infants , and in the cases of abortions, I cannot see that all goes to heaven ?

now I could be wrong, but this is how I look at it, I am not trying to be heartless, by all means we want to know truth , and not lies, so  if we have a child or infant , or one that is developed in the womb, we are still born sinners ,

now God knows are thoughts and minds and what we would become , for He knows us from before the foubndations of the world , He knew who would be His and who would reject Him,

so I believe not all goes to heaven , or the kingdom of God for , unless that spirit which is created by God, is of God then they go to heaven , and if not they will not go , but we cannot honestly say who goes and who don't and that all babies go to heaven , then there would be no place for hell ? we would need no savior, for all would be good,?

we cannot say who is a true believer and is going to heaven between you and me and the next person, it is up to God , and only God can make that determination for He is God and He created  and breath life  and spirit into man, and the lord giveth and the lord taketh away

so to be in compassion and in the spirit of truth , I think we all know that we all cannot go to heaven, and some were not appointed to go to heaven, and for those that call upon the name of the lord and believe and have faith will go to heaven , for whosoever that father calls will be saved , and its not of our selves,

I pray this is  a message in love and not in hate , or malice,  if I am wrong  I am open to listen  if I am wrong ? blessing to you all

I don't think you need to worry about if God is fair, for God is a awesome God , He is just and righteous , and will not let the unjust have there way , and God knows how to save and protect  His people including Babies, but I posted my belief in the next post below,

for God is  a God of love, and the devil is the only liar and the devil seeks to kill steal and destroy all that is good, but God is in control, no matter what , in fact the devil cannot do anything unless God lets Him or allows him,

Our god is faithful and truth , he has found away to bring us back to him, through the life of Jesus on the cross,

Infants are not lost on death due to the fact that they are not old enough to be responsible for any sins and therefore could not repent of sin.

I believe the Catholic church teaches that babies need  to be baptist before they can go to heaven when they die, I don't think they believe that anybody who is not Catholic and baptist in the Catholic church will go to heaven . Am IK right that the Catholic church did away with limbo?

2 Sam 12:33 23 But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he will not return to me

I like that verse, but if we go future in scripture in the same chapter and look at verse 20, 21,22,27

it is saying that God wills and does as He pleases for He is the potter and we are the clay, and even with the children counted as sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved,

there is also a count of when the gentiles reach the number then the end will come, so I would think we are subjected  to not all is saved,  but only those that are called by the father, for Gods mercy even to the people they reject, and God is a Just God, and it is by choice and will, God creates , He brings and He taketh away , I think we can see this with others around us,

we were all babies at one time, and if we were all to be saved, or made to be all good, we would not be in this situation today , with the rejecting evil and lawless people,

I believe that verse you brought is not for everyone , but for the brothers that came into play with a decision to make to accept the blessing or not, ?

I could be wrong, ? but this is what it looks like to me, we all being babies does not make us innocent, and  the history of the bible talks about wiping out  complete  bunch of people ,  for a reason, but this is my opinion. and what I believe to be truth .

I know what you are saying and I don't believe their ways of this  , but I do believe God is Just, and through this , we are also tested and drawn to Him in all conditions and situations in our lives, it is that we are tested everyday , and God is love, so I have no problem , on what He does, for salvation came to me , and you , so He knows who His people is, for we are all created by Him , so that's a given

in  luke 18 ;17 the innocents of us as adults, are shown in the mind set of a child , where they are ,not able to know good and evil to a point that they just go and trust some one, we are too also take this teaching of Jesus to know , that God is there for us, and we need to trust in Him and follow Him, and not worry about the evil and the world ,for we are safe and saved through Him, for God has given us a way and we should follow, for if we think it out ,and work it from our own works, we will not be able to accomplish or enter in to heaven for this scripture tells us of the mind set we are to have , is as a child , but when you look at a child in a pure state they are loving and just willing to do as they are told, and so this is how we relate to our surrender to the father God , and our relationship we have with Him, through our lord and king , savior Jesus Christ, that has stretched His arms wide , on the cross ,and said this is how much I love you , come to me, and I will give you rest for your souls .I have done it all for you , this is my love for you , that I lay my life down to save you .

how beautiful it is to know the love of God and his word, so we follow not by feelings and emotions , but by the spirit and truth , and faith in Him to believe we are His children,   amen...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
