this is false and anyone that says this is not studying Gods word, nor knows, what Jesus was teaching,

Christians are believers that follow Christ, Christ followers,  going to church does not make you a Christian or saved, but surrendering to God in truth and in Spirit , and have repented to know that they are a sinner in need of a savior , many today  that call them selves Christians are not it is only a label or a group they are  a part of, but do not follow the teachings  and Gods commandments,

the church is what is called a assembly of a group to all believe the same, but it is up to the each and every single person , to have a relationship with Jesus , and knowing God sent His Son to die on the cross to save, and so it is a free gift of Grace, that we receive , but we do not accept this in vain , for we seek God, and become doers and not just hearers of the word, to be filled with the holy spirit, and to produce good fruit, by hearing of the word we come to repentance and the knowledge of the savior, then what you do with Jesus from there is between you and God, for to reject, or not follow as the bible, as we are to read and let the Spirit guide us, if we do not do that , then we are not following what we say we believe in.

2Tim. 2:15

2Tim. 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

"YOU CAN BE COMING TO CHURCH AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN"

MEANING:

MEANING: It means that you have not repented of your sin, you have not believed the gospel, you have not carried your cross to follow Christ, you do not have Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you are just a mere churchgoer.

"BUT YOU CANNOT BE A CHRISTIAN AND NOT COMING TO CHURCH"

This is in line with Heb. 10:25

"ALL BELIEVERS ARE NOT CHRISTIANS BUT ALL CHRISTIANS ARE BELIEVERS"

"ALL BELIEVERS ARE NOT CHRISTIANS BUT ALL CHRISTIANS ARE BELIEVERS"

MEANING: It means believing in Christ Jesus, believing the gospel, having your sin forgiven after you pray salvation prayer, following Christ and obeying His words. All these and others in the same category of these make you a believer in Christ Jesus. This is the believer scripturally recognised.

regularly attending church services neither makes you a Christian nor is it a litmus test for whether a person is found in Christ or not.

the second statement is confusion -- define "christian" and define "believer" -- because to my mind, they are one and the same. i mean, it was pointed out that 'even the demons believe' -- but would you call a demon a 'believer' ?

what's the point in looking for ways to judge one another, anyhow?

weird thread.

Hebrews 10:24-25 does not say that those who have the habit of neglecting to assemble together are "not Christians" or that they are outside of the faith. it simply makes the implication that doing so is not wise, or rather, that meeting together and encouraging each other in the faith is the wise thing to do.

the Bible makes no distinction between "disciples" and "Christians" and "believers" and "brethren" -- it uses all these terms interchangeably to mean the same thing -- those who have put their hope in Christ, and cling to Him. the scripture distinguishes these from those who do not believe and reject Christ, the gospel, and His truth - and those who are false, twisting the scripture for their own carnal desires.

so why should we make a distinction between all these words, if the Holy Spirit does not? call a spade a spade, IMHO.

let your "yes" mean "yes" and your "no" mean "no" - anything else is from the evil one.

According to the Amplified Bible, "believe" means to cling to , rely on, adhere to.  It is not just mental assent or acknowledgement as the demons do.

Regular church attendance helps to establish new believers in the basics of Christianity.  There they will probably be baptized and through fellowship some of the rough edges will be removed.  They help to encourage each other during trials and most importantly we pray for each other.  Our weird ideas fall away as the truth is preached in power from the pulpit.

Together we are a temple of the Holy Spirit.  We are living stones being fit together to make one body, just as our living cells make up our bodies.  We learn our place and function in the Body of Christ.  We also learn to respect the functions of other members even though they differ from our own.  We learn how much we need each other and grow in brotherly love.

Older established Christians need to be functioning in a body to disciple new Christians, to teach and to love the new ones who are still struggling.  This love for them, just as they are, goes a long way to heal the wounds of the former life so that they can become more like Jesus.  Often the older Christians find that they have a lot to learn from the new believers as well.

So I don't believe that Christians who are not in church will grow properly or be as useful to God.  They may be less fruitful.  They may grow cold and not be diligent in their Bible reading, prayer and fellowship with God.  It is easier for them to conform to the world when they are not surrounded by godly Christians.  Like minded people tend to seek out each other to strengthen each other.

In your own words "regularly attending church services neither makes you a Christian nor is it a litmus test for whether a person is found in Christ or not = (equals to) YOU CAN BE COMMING TO CHURCH AND AT THE SAME TIME YOU ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN

Concerning the confusion mentioned by you; you do not need to be confused. Scripturally recognised believer or christian is a person who is saved by grace. You have repented of your sin. You have been converted. The acount of John 3:16 is fulfilled in your life, words and the Spirit of God are what guide you. Read and meditate.

YES YOU SAID IT ALL, BECAUSE IT IS NOT WISE, THAT IS WHY YOU CANNOT BE A CHRISTIAN AND NOT COMMING TO CHURCH. AND BECAUSE IT IS WISE DOING SO, THAT IS WHY YOU A CHRISTIAN AND YOU ARE COMING TO CHURCH. THE QUESTION FOR YOU NOW, WHAT DO YOU THING (THINK) WILL BECOME OF YOU IF YOU CONTINUE DOING WHAT IS NOT WISE?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
