Talking about posture I know a few people who love God, but don't kneel in prayer, unless they are in church where they don't want to create a scene. Because as children they were forced under extreme conditions to kneel in prayer under the threat of being beaten etc. So we can understand how uncomfortable that posture would make them feel. They don't want to associate their Lord with the false image of God. We can also imagine how many people feel unworthy of God's attention because they don't pray in the "official way" - whatever that is. We know that the Bible endorses kneeling and bowing to God. But I am reluctant to draw the line, because it is better to talk to God than not at all, don't you think?
