Jean Monnet was a devout Roman Catholic and one of the founding fathers of the European Union. Monnet rejected the idea that Europe should consist of independent nations. He believed in the Catholic conception and vision that Europe should become a federal superstate that would be a fusion of all ancient nations.

I know that many readers think that I write conspiracy theory based on imagination. This is not a conspiracy theory, because all people can  see and observe the connection of the Roman Catholic Church and the European Union, if they are looking this thing from the right viewpoints, which are based on verifiable facts. If you study the things fairly, honestly and an open mind, so you can see the handprints of Catholic Church how it tries to create Catholic Empire to Europe through European Union.

You should have seen the link that was on there.  It  was about as far-fetched and easy to refute as a claim that every German is taught to recite mein kampf backwards while doing jumping jacks on their head.

It was Truly a blanketed statements about what many people I have met " believe "

Yet I have not met one of them to believe such things

Since the Holy Roman Empire existed for about 1,000 years, it is quite reasonable to believe that the European Union is a revival of that entity. Roman Catholicism was the religion of this empire. The Pope was supreme over all the rulers in Europe.

From your limited, and predjudiced  lack of historical knowledge in America , but it is not . It is a mainly secular movement ,to introduce free trade ,break the trade unions ,national identity ,and Christianity . And it has done this by making more han 80,000 laws, from a mainly unelected Secular governing power, who  rewrote the earlier 'constitution '  and history of Europe , leaving out entirely ,the Christian history of the Continent .

Introducing ssm., was one of it's main objectives, and it has succeeded in that , along with the introduction of large groups of people from elsewhere to break down any sense of  community and historical connection .

I agree that the Catholic church supports ecumenism, which I disagree with and think is unessesary.  If we have unity in Christ there is no reason to accept ecumenism.  So, I oppose ecumenism and the churches support of the concept, and I do agree that the Catholic churches support of ecumenism could very easily bring the suspicion that this is an endeavor to regain the same sovereignty they once enjoyed in Europe.  However, I don't think the Catholic church is at the root of the ecumenical movement.  Therefore, I don't think that the Catholic church will ever regain the same authority they once had even if it still seems possible because it did exist once.

I do believe that the support of ecumenism within any of our denominations, is an effort to protect the members supporting the movement from the real threat that is fast approaching as the fulfillment of the prophecy is the will of God in the same way that the cross was the will of God.

"Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me." (Matthew 16:24).

Ecumenism is therefore only the indication of fear of an enemy, rather than steadfast faith in God that will contribute to the fulfillment of prophecy.  However, it does seem a little bit of a stretch for even a denomination professing hints and evidence of ecumenism, to expect all of its followers to do the same in an environment that does still profess Christ.  It is not that I don't think the hierarchy wouldn't like that either, but it is a lot to expect the more regular members of the denomination to partner with the Catholic church's aspirations for world domination when the teachings of Christ are still present that have so transformed the world as it is.  It would just seem more logical for someone like the Antichrist to come through an institution that already denies that He is the Son of God.

Clarity Esther, a rare thing, as there is so much PRE JUDGEMENT ,( meaning prejudice ), where there is no real QUESTION ,just a loaded  call to rally round the troups to the 'enemy ' perceived  . A sure sign of an unenlightened people  when they refuse to look elsewhere ,at themselves for a change . CLARITY , your chapter on Ecumenism shows  a genuine abilty to reflect on important things .:D

Just to make it clear , I did not want to promote Catholicism on this thread.

If I was promoting it I would have said it is true, it is the way.

Rather I will defend any denomination that preaches Jesus Is God and that the purpose of mankind is to love, serve, and worship him.

Most people in the world strongly disagree that Jesus is Lord and that our purpose in life is to love and serve him.

Consequently, I feel it is my duty as a Christian, to try to unite people who do profess that belief , and when people say such a denomination will be the epitome of evil, dominate the world, and be the most satanic religion on Earth , they have simply gone too far, and it is my duty as a Christian to not remain silent in the face of such illogical hate-talk that strongly pits Christians against each other.

I hope you all understand where I'm coming from. :)

Conspiracy theorists never let facts get in the way of a preposterous story.

The reality is that Pope Benedict had unsuccessfully tried to get the EU to acknowledge Christianity's influence on Europe and was rebuffed; that's how much power the papacy has over modern Europe.

"Even before he was elected pope in April 2005, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was spearheading the Vatican effort, however unsuccessful, to have the European Union’s new constitution recognize the continent’s Christian heritage. He also rejected the idea of allowing Muslim Turkey into the EU. 'Europe is a cultural continent,' he told a French magazine, 'not a geographical one'" (HuffPo).

And after Benedict failed on both counts, if any religion is going to influence "Eurabia" it will be Islam -- if that wasn't already obvious enough after Germany's Merkel opened the floodgates to thousands of un-vetted cultural jihadis armed with Turkish passports.

But what's even more appalling than Petrie's conspiracy nonsense is how many Worthy posters are more than willing to embrace it.

I kind of wish that staff left the link the op posted.  It was as amusing and cute as it was offensive.

It spoke very matter-of-factly about what Catholics want.  It didn't just say some.

I live in a Protestant household and only fellowship with Protestants now, and go to Protestant Bible studies, but  do sometimes attend Catholic mass and like to pray in Catholic churches and cathedrals as well as like to read the writings of the Saints.

But I let none of that interfere with what is most important, and that is an incessant relationship and communion with God and constant prayer to be obedient to him.

But however, for years I fellowshiped with Catholics who had a charismatic prayer service in the rectory , which is the basement of the priest.

They prayed in tongues and they quoted scripture verses ,laid hands on each other, used the life in the spirit booklet and prayed for baptism of the Holy Spirit, and prayed in the Spirit.  They praised Jesus with many of the hymns that a person hears at Protestant churches or revivals.

They were strongly mistrustful of the UN and the EU.  They would never want the church to embrace those unchristian philosophies and approve of their government.

They also despised Obama to the core, especially his trying to force Catholics to prescribe contraceptives and provide abortions.  There was a huge battle between Obama and the church over that.

The idea that a bunch of Catholics are trying to get the church to dominate Europe and raise up some great anti-christian Empire is preposterous, as I have known many Catholics , and they have extremely negative things to say about European and American government.

We have to have a sense of humor with these conspiracy theorists. But the reason it's not funny is how many people buy into it, causing Christians to think of each other as the scum of the Earth. People who stir up such hatred in Christianity and such extreme forms of division, are responsible for the greatest Evil Within Christianity these days imo. They make satan very happy.

When the Catholic church and the EU, the United Nations, and American government start agreeing on faith and morals, then we have reason to be concerned or believe the statements in the op have some credibility.

After the Napoleonic Wars when Italy became a unified kingdom and absorbed all the Papal States, no secular state has paid any attention as to what the Vatican had to say about Europe.

But again, why let facts get in the way of another Catholic Conspiracy on the Worthy forums.

For the last 50 or 60 year the school text books have been leaving out our Christian heritage and promoting socialism in the US.  Obama now has written his own version of curriculum that many states subscribe to.  It is horrible that our children are being brainwashed.  And it starts with the professors at honored colleges and universities like Harvard, that have been overtaken by radicals and have turned out corrupted teachers that have spread across the nation..

Probably the theory that all roads lead to heaven will have to supplant the Bible and the teachings of Jesus for any type of peace and one world government to succeed.  It won't be as easy to brainwash the muslims as it has to wipe Christianity from our heritage.  Missionaries, both Catholic and Protestant, helped to pioneer the western and southeastern US, as well as much of Canada and the rest of the Americas.  The other god that brought people to the americas and the west was GOLD.

Much of pagan beliefs were dominated by fear and trying to appease gods.  The Christian faith is about a loving God reaching out to sinful humans who don't deserve His help, and taking away such fear.  So contrary to the claims of anthropologists and sociologists, the aim was to bring a blessing to the pagans and release them from the bondage of fear.  We can learn from pagans about the deep respect they have for all creation, but they need to learn from us that only the Creator is worthy to be worshipped.  Once that concept is removed from any denomination or religion it is corrupted.  So the antichrist claiming to be god and demanding to be worshipped is what reveals his true character, as well.

Whether the antichrist be from Rome, the literal Babylon, the countries north of Greece or Jerusalem, or some unthought of place, it remains to be seen.  I hope I am not around to find out.  But it remains that we are supposed to be watching for the coming of our Lord.  He has promised to never leave us or forsake us even to the ends of the earth.  AMEN!

Vatican II did not take what the church called intrinsically immoral and sinful and then sanction it and say it is ok.  Vatican II did not change any teachings about Jesus Christ being God and that our purpose in life is to love, worship, and serve him.  No theology or Faith and morals was changed.

Those teachings as well as nearly all of the other teachings on faith and morals would have to not only go , but be replaced by teachings that promote the opposite for it to be the faith of the Antichrist.

So, I'm open to the possibility that a Pope will be the Antichrist , but he will then have the very difficult task of rewriting what the church has taught for two thousand years.

For the pope to be the Antichrist , He would have to say the church was completely wrong on almost all of its Theology and teachings on faith and morals and that he is the anointed one to change everything and create a new church.

Maybe a Pope will do that...idk.  :P. It's a possibility

I tend to think that the 10 nation revival of the Roman Empire will be Europe, but I tend to think Babylon is literally Babylon.  Maybe the UN will be involved instead of the Vatican.  I have no idea.

Remember that the antichrist, satan and the beast are the unholy trinity.  Their purpose will be to deceive.  He will even try to deceive the elect with his miracles and rhetoric.  So he may deceptively subscribe to a faith but turn at the 3 1/2 year point when he sits in the Temple and declares himself to be god.  That is when the Jews will realize he is fake and hopefully others will wake up as well.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
