I sometimes feel like it's to late to get better after 34 years of smoking. Like I said I can breath without wheezing. I hope I didn't do damage.

Why don't  you ask your doctor for a pulmonary test? Then you know and don't have to worry.,

It's never to late to stop smoking~~

tigger, if you smoked that long it is likely that you have done some damage to your lungs (depending on how much you smoked.), but as others have said it's never too late to quit.   At least you won't do any more damage.    See your doctor... and keep an eye on it.

Just hang in there.  Your body is adjusting.  And there are ways to combat withdrawal.

Smoking is like a drug.  Sudden withdrawal can make you sick.  My friend stopped coffee, (she was a huge coffee drinker) and became very ill, another friend drank tons of Pepsi, stopped that and she too became ill.  Just hang in that sister, you going to do fine!

Yes, nicotine is a drug. Just like alcohol and caffeine. You are going through a withdrawal.Have you spoken to your doctor about wearing a patch? That might make you more comfortable.
