These are matters which have, to be sure, the APPEARANCE of wisdom in self-made religion and self abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence. If then you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Set your mind on things above, not on the things that are on earth.

For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in Glory.

Therefore consider the members of your earthly body dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry. For it is on account of these things that the wrath of God will come. Col. 2:23 - 3:1-6

In Colossians Paul wonderfully exhorts the people to move away from the heresies they were incumbered with, one of them being undue attention being given to outward observances such as feasts and fasts, new moons and sabbaths, 2:16.

You can drive your point as hard as you wish but Ms. White had taken a stand on a vision she had seen, inflated without cause by her fleshly mind. Col. 2;18

Where in the Bible is the verse , new testament, wherein Jesus said the Sabbath day is no longer holy?  Ms.White did not establish the Sabbath. God did. And until God changes it it stands. Therefore, where in scripture did God say to forget the Sabbath day? And by God's saying it I mean, Jesus Christ and his ministry. When did Jesus tell his apostles the 7th day, the Sabbath day was no longer holy?

“It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.” Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903.

And once again we have our eyes on things of this world.

Unless you live in a camel hair cloak eating locusts like unto John the Baptist, your eyes are on this world because you live in this world.

And just so you know, the Sabbath is a Christian thing! Not a worldly one.

In fact this is not true about Catholicism instituting sunday as being the Lord's day.

Here is church history even before Constantine (27 February c. 272 AD– 22 May 337 AD) was even alive.

-Ignateus (Born c.35 , Died c.107)

(The Epistle of Ignatius to the Magnesians 8-10 (c. 110 A.D.

If, then, those who had lived in antiquated practices came to newness of hope, no longer keeping the Sabbath but living in accordance with the Lord's day, on which our life also arose through Him and His death (which some deny), the mystery through which we came to believe,)

-Justin Martyr  (100 – 165 AD)

(2nd Century A.D. 140
Justin Martyr:
But Sunday is the day which we all hold our common assembly, because Jesus Christ, our Saviour, on the same day rose from the dead.” Apology, Chapter LXVII.
)

-Irenaeus  (Born 130, Died 202),

(Irenaeus, a disciple of Polycarp, the friend of John, says: "On the Lord’s day every one of us Christians keep the Sabbath, meditating on the law, and rejoicing in the works of God.")

-Clement of Alexandria (c. 150 – c. 215)

(2nd Century A.D. 194 Clement of Alexandria, Egypt:
He, in fulfillment of the precept, according to the gospel, keeps the Lord’s Day, when he abandons an evil disposition, and assumes that of the Gnostic, glorifying the Lord’s resurrection in himself.” Book 7, Chapter XII.)

There is a lot more quotes than this, but this will suffice.

"Let us therefore no longer keep the Sabbath after the Jewish manner, and rejoice in days of idleness; "  (Ignatius:Excerpted chapter 9 http://www.pseudepigrapha.com/LostBooks/ignatius2magnesians.htm)

St. Ignatius of Antioch
In this letter by the early Church Father the Catholic Church is
mentioned by name.

In the context of this thread being we're Christians. That is the meaning. Being Christian's recognize the sabbath day . Or at least they should.

Now I do not believe that the seventh day is to be observed under the new covenant, and anyhow the sabbath was not a Jewish thing nor a Christian thing, but rather a Godish thing (it came from God).

A Godish thing. Well said. New word! :P

What IS the Sabbath?

Not

Which is the Sabbath Day.

What IS the Sabbath?
