Action news for Terri Schiavo

She has a family who loves her and is more than willing to care for her. Yet, he is pushing and pushing to kill her. Why? WHY? What is one good and reasonable reason why she should be dead? Who will benefit if she is dead?

What is he afraid she will say when she regains the ability to speak for herself, and why is he going to have her immediately cremated upon her death? What is he trying to hide?

She is never going to regain the ability to speak in that manner. Unless God steps in and heals this lady, it is never going to get better or at least not that much. I don't know, I just know I would not want to live like this. and I would pray that someone would love me enough to let me go if I was in that condition. I can understand her families heartache...But everyone thinks she is going to be brought back to what she was before, and that is never going to happen unless as I said God heals her. It's a very sad thing, my heart breaks for her and her family.

I believe it was just yesterday when someone asked Terri if she wanted to "live", and she responded very loudly: "I want, I want." It was loud enough that orderlies and nurses in the hallway heard her and came running in.

I would suggest that you make sure that you have something written saying that you do not want any extraordinary life support, even if there exists a possibility of your recovery. Then you can get in a car accident, go into a coma for up to 5 years, but not to worry, they will kill you before that 5 years are up.

Today, Terri Schiavo. Tomarrow, the weak, infirm and the elderly. Then they'll empty out the "crippled children's homes" because they've become a "burden" on society.

Terri Schiavo is a burden to her husband but her parents are willing to go the extra mile to help her live her life out.

I have cared for children in the same condition as Terri Schiavo when I worked for the School for the Blind.

We didn't starve them to death because they were unable to feed themselves. We fed and loved them.

What's wrong with this world? What are we coming to?

This IS going on in some parts of the world today.

I can't remember the website, but I saw the videos of Terri and she seems responsive. I don't know much about this case, but it seems she would be able to give some type of affirmation or negation in regards to the feeding tube.

A couple months ago my uncle had his feeding tube removed, and of course died as a result. The difference here is he had a fatal disease and death was imminent... the feeding tube was only prolonging his suffering. I don't believe Terri's death is imminent in regards to an illness, correct? I can understand a husband not wanting his wife to suffer... I don't know if that is Terri's husband's motivation... I can understand parents wanting to hang on to a dying child yet it's only dragging out the inevitable (from what I understand, this is not the case).

I worked with developmentally disabled adults for 10 years... most were born this way... and although declared a 'vegetable'... when I would talk to them or play music for them or bring them outside on a nice day... I could see a response... however slight... I could see it... and I knew something was going on in that "brain dead" human being... also many them became this way... drunk driving accidents, unsuccessful suicides, etc... many of them still had their minds fully functional (or somewhat active) in 'vegatative' bodies. Most would think, "I couldn't live that way!" Maybe these people would have thought so as well before they became like that... but the funny thing is... they do adjust... they do find happiness! It's amazing... you would think they would be miserable and trapped... but they do have joy... AND can still be used by God for His purposes.

I pray for God's will to be done in this situation.

but what exactly was it that happened to her?

Yeah, I've been praying for her and her family, but I've never been able to find what caused the brain damage to begin with, and was wanting to know, if that's OK?
