This week, U.S. President George W. Bush melodramatically cut short one of his innumerable vacations and flew back to Washington to intervene in the case of Terri Schiavo when a Florida court granted her husband's request to cut off her life support after she had spent 15 years in a vegetative state. But days before, even as the president was supporting his brother, Florida governor Jeb Bush, and congressional Republicans in "defending the culture of life" in the Schiavo case, doctors in Houston were pulling the breathing tube from the throat of an ailing infant. The boy suffocated within seconds, legally killed -- against the wishes of his anguished mother -- in accordance with a draconian law signed as a "cost-saving" measure by the state's former governor: George W. Well I for one am horrified in both of these cases, I am now wondering how many other staes have similer laws to Texas.

I also heard a doctor on Fox explain that in Terri's case because she is healthy as far as her body goes it could be up too 2 weeks or more yet before she dies, it makes me so upset to think of her lying there starving to death.

Terri needs our prayers. The following affidavit of Barbara Weller, submitted to the courts, as evidence of Terris awareness, hints at her dispondancy and present lack of faith. If you read down to the last couple paragraphs, Barbara tried to reassure Terri the Jesus loves her and will not forsake her, at which point, Terri laughed at her and was aparently agitated.

Even worse than Terris suffering is her lack of faith. I hope you will join with me to ask Jesus to give Terri a sign that she may know the peace she is being credited with having.

my wife and me were talking abit about this situation.

and knowing Gods power and how the Power of the Holy Spirit is upon each and every follower of Christ.

we started praying for a complete recovery, even the total restoration of her brain, so that she could testify about what actually happened to her and all around her.

God can do it.........

as the man asked Jesus, he knew Jesus could heal him, so he asked Jesus if He was willing.... and Jesus replyed that He is and the man is healed ( not past, but IS HEALED )

I'm at the point where I don't know what to believe, concerning the Schiavo case.

Conflicting information all over the net and on TV.

I agree with you! We get fed what each side wants us to know. It's terribly upsetting.

One question though has has me most concerned. I read where she can swallow, but is very slow. YET, are they withholding water? Is she not allowed to drink via regular means? And if that is correct, that is immoral.

I understand that if a person is taken off of other types of support, such as breathing aparatus. Then, if that person can breath on their own, so be it. But in this case, withholding water is purposely causing a death, it looks like to me.

Is this how it is? Are they with holding water? And CAN she drink?

what gets me is how here in America we value the life of a frog or elk more that a human life. A friend of mine works for a logging company and drove a loader thru a creek and the state fined him 6,000 dollars because there may have been frog eggs there but we can kill thousands of babies a day here and call it a persons right to choose and we can starve a women to death kevorkian was jailed for murder and this is what they are doing to this poor women. God's judgement is quick to come to this nation.
