Well your accusing a certain group of people of doing stuff bass on their choice to not wear clothes.

I was simply stating that I don't believe their claim that they are all walking around in the nude and no one gets aroused, sexually and that no sexual immorality takes place.  Evidently, they think everyone is naive enough to believe it.

I thought I point out that even church going people who wear clothes do them things as well. Nothing snarky about it.

Yeah, just had to take a jab at the Christians...  And yes it was snarky and uncalled for.

I don't know what you mean by that seeing as I am a Christian. And by the way I meant  "church goers" and not Christians.

I don't dress in skimpy clothes. I think though that it is a mutual respect for modesty and to avoid lust. One that women and men both owe one another so as not to fall into that sin. If so inclined a man could find a woman dressed in an abaya sexy if he chose to.  A man should work not to objectify a woman. We owe it to each other to respect one another.

It is refreshing that a thread like this hasn't turned into a "if women wear pants instead of a skirt the are going to hell" thread.

True. There have been members who have said that. But that is very legalistic.

I have heard men say that a woman in a pair of slacks and a turtle neck can be sexy.

Yes, it's modest but also impractical.  I'd be afraid I would drown in that thing.

I never said you said I couldn't wear shorts. But I read somewhere in the mess of replies about women in shorts, and swim suits and tight sweaters.

Oh forget it. I'm going to go eat pizza now.

Hey....save some for me!  :D

It is extremely modest. Not to say all women just are not going to look good in that unless they have a model's body.

If this goes any farther we will soon be talking about if women should lock themselves inside and not allow themselves to be seen by a man other then their husband. For fear that doing so could cause a poor man to fall into lust.

In the end I think if we don't know how we should dress. We can always ask God about it in prayer. To guild our lives in the right way. That is what I do.

Hmmm....there ARE societies where women do live that way, LK, like in Saudi Arabia and most other muslim countries.  And I agree; if we are unsure, pray and let God give us peace about what we wear.
