49 minutes ago, Anonymous Aristotle said:

Yes, he did. He was speaking to those who'd not yet received the good news of Christ so as to repent as sinners of their sins.

Not according to context

1 John 2:1 (KJV)

[2:1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

this position of advocacy does not come to unbelievers .... only to believers!
Love, Steven

Yes, I know that scripture. Jesus paid it all.

So then you understand by context that John is speaking to those who have Jesus as their advocate... the born again! Which is hermeneutically supported in larger context by Rom 7 moving into Rom 8 :)

Well then the question becomes how easy is it to sin, and what is sin exactly. Word says sin is a transgression of the law so when we break one of the 613 laws or 10 commandments that's sin?

It is written on our hearts when we are born again... sin is not the issue it is getting closer to the life we now have (drawing near to God in relationship).... as we grow we realize God has separated us from out sins and we are to reckon them dead and live apart from them in newness of life! It is not a do to get but a I have so use it scenario because nothing else makes sense!

Being human has nothing to do with sinning.  Jesus was human.  Adam was a sinless human being before he sinned.  A human being can be free from sin but as it is written they must have power over sin and that power greater than sin is Christ.  I know who I serve by who I give myself unto.  I cannot serve two masters.  What I do must be held up to the light to be discerned whether it be works wroght in God or sin.
