  The whole system is evil.

Yes it is Brother Butero.....Indeed I want Peace but I am also a realist & Peace is not on the horizon,i only know this only because the Word of God tells me so

Personally I am far from a liberal,I am neither complacent, passive nor tolerant0-I) am pro-active     I do support & sign petitions & I do speak up,I w4rite letters to my local politicians etc... etc,,,, ,where I believe it can make a difference     I don't have to beat my Brother & Sister over the head if they disagree & I certainly won't waste my precious time bickering with others.....thats my 2 cents

There are many agendas here,it is true & many which are to divide the Body of Christ & this is where we must really speak up & say,"Hey,wait a minute! Why are you speaking to your Brother or your Sister this way!!!!? It is totally unacceptable,,,this is STILL a Christian Ministry & not "Entertainment Tonight"     The Brethren can speak civilly to one another regarding politics if that is what they care to discuss                        With love-in Christ,Kwik

A divided government is better than 100% rule by either party.  This is because with a divided government less gets done and less damage is done.   When the only two parties that are in power both support bigger government and less personal freedoms, it is best they do not get much accomplished.   The only difference in this area is which parts to make bigger and which freedoms to take away first.

Nothing good has ever come from one party holding 100% power, at least not in the last 100 years.

I will be happy to take my chances and support Republicans in charge of everything.

As to WMDs in Iraq, Sadaam wanted everyone to believe he had them, and everyone believed he did.  No lies were told to get us into that war.  We went by what our intelligence said.  I would have supported the war because Iraq violated the terms of the cease fire from the first Gulf War.  I didn't care about the WMD argument.

My sincere apologies. I just looked at that thread and I was mistaken. It wasn't you that made the comment about not using the F word.

Thank you for your apology.  No harm, no foul.  It can be easy to get confused about who said what.

The intelligence was put through the spinner before it was fed to us, it made Saddam and Iraq look like they were a direct, and imminent, which was never the case.

It was an easy war to support if you there was no possibility of you going there and getting shot at.

Yes, you can get away with it, but it does not stop you from being a jerk for doing it.  Being president means you can get away with just about anything, ask Bill Clinton.  Didn't make it right.   Bush II started a war on lies that cost more than a trillion dollars and 5000 American service members lives, and he got away with it because he was president.  Didn't make it right to do.

Might makes right is not a biblical principle.

It is bad enough this thread has been derailed to assail Trump. Please don't derail further with irrelevant referrals to Bill Clinton or Bush 43.

People opine about what transpired at the NATO gathering. That the PM wasn't offended puts an end to the judgment against president Trump from the standpoint of the PM.Who is the only one that actually is entitled to feel something about president Trump's encounter with him. Everyone else just shares an opinion that changes nothing about the long past reality.

If "Jerk" is a classification for bad behavior, there isn't a president that I can recall that wouldn't qualify for the label.

Might makes right is reflected in the entire old testament of the bible and as a Godly principle. The Gospel overcoming the world of sin where Satan rules, is the principle afforded in the idiomatic meaning  itself.

And it is absolutely reflected by example in the U.S military.

A-men Sister Kwik.  We should be able to.  I applaud your efforts to keep the peace.

See, now that is something we can agree on!  :emot-dance:

I do not agree.   Right (God) had the might, but the might didnt made God right.  And many, many times the Israelis didn't have the might and God made things right.

As one that spent 20 proud years serving in the US Military, I can tell you that we do a great many things that are not "right"

The military is all volunteer.  Nobody was forced to go over there.  When Iraq violated the cease fire agreement from the first Gulf War, we should have immediately taken Saddam out.  Intelligence from all over the world thought Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, but that was neither here nor there to me.  I wanted Clinton to take them out when they shot at our planes and threw out the inspectors.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
