There are many people at my school that are homosexual, gay, lesbian, transexual... the list goes on... I hav spoke against homosexuality(this is not meant to become a debate on homosexuality) a couple times at school, and many ask me if i have anythign agaisnt the peopel themselves. That adds on to the situation, because i am not sure if i should try and avoid them or what. However, i am trying to tell them what the bible says about it, and i have many other people starting to say that i am hypocrite because i donot like homosexuals or else God does not love people... they come up with weird things... i am not sure how to talk to them or how to tell them that what they are doing is wrong.... any ideas?(not dealing with Day of Silence thing in this topic)

You know what gets me? The homosexual people can "preach" about their beliefs but once christians start to preach about their beliefs about it then we are looked at as being prejudice. I don't hate the people for being a homosexual I just don't care for the act of homosexuality itself. Don't stop preaching. If God is putting it in your heart to reach out to them, continue to do so. Just do it in a good way. Help those who need it. I will continue to try and work on my half sister who is gay and just married a woman and I will continue to pray for her and try to help her. God is with everyone, some just don't know it yet!

I love you!

Allison

P.S.

You know if your school allows it, get some Bibles and keep them in the Guidence room and make it known that they are there. People will respond because they are curious. Keep showing people scripture and talk about it.

Kity -

1 Corinthians 5:9-13

9 I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.

10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.

11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person.

12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?

13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

Does this help put things in perspective?

Here are some other scriptures that indicate homosexuality is wrong.

Homosexuality

What the Bible says from Old Testament to New Testament?

Including the battle of the mind.

Before we can look at this topic I think it is important to understand some definitions of words that are associated with homosexuality.

Definitions According to Webster

For men who deal with purity issues for both gay and straight I recommend the following books and website unless indicated gay only.

Every Man's Battle by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Storker

(plus work book for Every Man's Battle

Every Young Man's Battle by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Storker

Every Women's Desire by Stephen Arterburn and Fred Storker

Coming Out Straight by Richard Cohen

(web site www.gaytostraight.org International Healing Foundation with multiple resources on his site.)

Not Afraid to Change by John Paulk

(The remarkable story of how one man overcame homosexuality)

www.settingcaptivesfree.com

This is a FREE on-line course which helps both male and female and teenagers overcome many hang-ups and habits such as pornography, homosexuality, overeating, and more. However you get what you pay for when you go to a free on-line course. IT requires up 60 days straight to complete the program. Each Lesson takes about 30 minutes to complete. They will have some who will be accountable to you about each lesson but it may not happen every time since they are understaffed at this web site Although we say honesty does matter in the healing process I recommend if someone taking this course has possible committed a crime to be careful in what they say because they are obligated to report the crime. I also recommend taking as much time as you or someone needs to complete the course because it is intensely structured, meaning don't rush through 60 days to get it done take longer if necessary they are understaffed anyway.

The Pornography Trap by Ralph H. Earle Jr. and Mark R. Lasser

(A must read for pastors and counselors!)

2 other resource I just found that I like that may help are 2 books by Joyce Myers

Beauty for ashes

and

Battle field of the mind

I have never heard them "preach" I have seen them demand their legale rights an citizens. If they pay taxas in this country then they have the legale rights as we all do. this type of harassment is why here in the god old US we have a separation of church and state.

Sorry but I will never accept marriage between 2 men or 2 women to be a legal right, nor will I accept children adoption by homosexual couples as a legal right. Same goes as making amendments to godly laws, just to make their ungodly lifestyles acceptable. The problem with the USA is TOLERANCE. When you read your Bible you can see that none of the godly men had tolerance for conscious, practiced, willfull rebellion against God. When we sin we need to come to God and sorrowfully and sincerely ask for forgiveness, but pure rebellion against God just for the fun and comfort of it with no repentance, will not be forgiven. While our laws change with the world's moods, God's Word cannot be amended, nobody can add to it or subtract it or change it.

Legal rights created to allow sin against God are pure evil and should be rejected.

I praise God that I am in this world but not of it!

Careful!

Rev. 2

12 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write,'These things says He who has the sharp two-edged sword: 13 I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells. 14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. 15 Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth. 17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it." '

18 "And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write,'These things says the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet like fine brass: 19 I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience; and as for your works, the last are more than the first. 20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. F16 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works. 24 Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations-- 27 'He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels'-- as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star. 29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
