if I could not speak, and knew what was going on around me, ( non-comatose ) and people wanted to pull my plug, and allow me to physically die, that would be fine, for I will be going home with no doubts what so ever........

the problem is, people are having their plugs pulled and are not ready to meet their maker, and it might only take one more contact to put them in a state of readiness ( salvation )......

too many times also, the hospital wants the person to remain "calm" and do not want them stired up, so they put them in a drug induced coma.....

my late mother in law, a dear lady in the Lord. was on her last hours, and rather then let her toss and turn a bit, they drugged her..... I was in the ICU with her for several hours (non stop) and the nurse never came in to introduce anything in the IV, when i first went in, she was just starting to wake up, so I sang to her and talked with her, and prayed with her, as she was waking up, the monitors started measuring the activity in her and she stired, getting restless. I took her hand and started talking to her and a heavy peace engulfed the room. and she woke up, and was peaceful the rest of the time i was there ( about 3 hours )... The Comforter did His part....

so, Yea, pull my plug, but unless a person has it written down, or discussed prior, then i do not believe we should go around puling plugs......

as far as Terri's parents and other family members, maybe a Wrongful Death suite might be in order for the unfaithful husband, and impeachment for the judge who placed the convienience of one person above the life of another....

ok not being one to pass judgement on people I wonder what we all would want. look at it like this if you tell your spouse "if I am in an irreversable coma and the doctors have told you for 5 yrs that its not gonna change then I expect you to keep my body alive with machines that will do everything required to keep me living. since living is what I want to do even though I will not know I am alive. nor will I be able to fuction at all without a machine doing it for me."

now this ladies husband wo did remarry after 7 yrs finally did the right thing and ended it as his wife told him. now sure everyone can say that thats not what she wanted but only 2 people know what she wanted and she was in no position to say anything. funny how in the court of law hearsay is allowed if the subject is dead. however it is not accepted if te person is unable to speak for themselves. this poor man pulled the plug and more power to him. whats the point of keeping her alive with a feeding tube and breathing machine. oh yea your gonna say she could wake up. and what if she was going to come out of it tomarrow and he ruined it. well to that I say at some point common sense has to take over. is it living if you cant do anything. one of the basics of life is being self aware and lets be honest that lady was not among those who are self aware. and she did in fact tell her husband that she did not want to live like that. not to mention that if he was a really bad guy he would have pulled te plug right away like the next day. but this cold harted uncarring man le his wife lay in state for what 10 yrs or more. yea hes a bad guy. bottom line I pray that if I should end up in such a position where i am comotose well by all means trip over the plug pull the plug hit the circut breaker do somthing. cuz well no point in hanging out just to hang out.

Well, at this point in my life I agree with you. However I have never been in the position to just hang out. Don't know if I would like it or not really.

However, with the exception of my wife (who I think needs me go be here) it would suit me just fine if I could just go now, so as far as I am concerned don't plugg me up in the first place and you won't have to bother with the decision later.

Is insulin "life support", is an oxygen tank "life support", is an antibiotic "life support", They've cleverly redefined what a 'vegetable' is, and they've cleverly redefined what lifesupport is. They've set the stage for legalized murder right under the noses of the American people.

The saddest thing about all of this is that there is a high persentage of those calling themselves christians who see nothing wrong with what happened to this woman.

We've finally been dumbed down and desensitized enough to accept anything that the governmet chooses to dump on our plate without question.

Where is the public outcry? With the exception of a few, all is quiet now.

yes they have and yes this is technically and legally life support. I have read about cases where people have asked for treatement or food and water and have not received it because of a living will that was available to hospitials or nursing homes. With the RFID chips coming you should be very careful of what you put into the legal system, for all that will be available to your future doctors and medical emergency people and not even your spouse will be able to over rule it.

Is there enough just judges left for the parents to win their case, or will they be wasting their time? Sure makes me wonder.
