I dont think its so important an issue where the antichrist will come from or, in what form,tougher times are on the way for sure and the most important thing will always be ones faith in CHRIST

Why are Christians in the West so intensely interested in learning about the antichrist (which word is only used THREE TIMES IN THE WHOLE BIBLE), rather than learning about JESUS CHRIST, who is mentioned hundreds of times?

If Jesus didn't want us to check into who/what this is, why did he warn us about it in the first place.

while I would agree that we should not be overly time consumed about it, it would be neglectful to not discuss it at all. He warned us about this entity so that we would not stumble when the time comes for him/her/it to exercise the power it has been/will be granted.

I agree. But, we have to know what we're looking for. The antichrist is not going to be obviously evil at first, otherwise people would not be deceived. He is going to be like someone we would invite home to dinner or like a member of our family. We will naturally like him, which is why we have to be very knowledgeable about him; about what he will be like and what to look for so that we are not deceived.

If we read in the scriptures about false prophets we learn that they say things people want to hear, they talk about peace and safety and they do not confront people with their sins. To me, that sounds a lot like a lot of our men behind our pulpits. So, this is why we do need to talk about the antichrist, because he is real and just in case the Lord does not rapture the church out prior to the tribulation and he gave us all this information about the tribulation because he intends to leave us here and he wants us to know what is coming, then we had better be informed about the antichrist so that we can spot him or else many of us could easily be deceived.

Christians are being deceived on a regular basis by men of the cloth who are preaching a social gospel, so how easy it will be for them to be taken in by the master manipulator. Like in any war, we soldiers need to know who our enemy is so that we know how to fight him. The problem is we don't know so we are being deceived by him on a daily basis. If you don't believe me, try putting your TV away for a month or so, spend that time you spend watching TV in ministering to others and in the study of God's word and then try turning it back on and see if you notice how much you have accepted of the world's philosophy into your life without even realizing it. He is subtle and we had better beware lest we fall into his trap.

4th If you are catholic (which I am not) there is the Malachie Prophecys that say there will be only 2 more popes the one comming up and then the last one

5th We better know the Lord or we will be very decieved when he does show enought to decieve the very ellect

6th no matter what the question in here some one has to come done on it saying it is slanderous or judgemental or what ever can't some one just ask a question and not be taken over the coals for it..............................

Christ can't come back until there's a falling away first. Fall to whom?

Hmm exalteth himself above all that is called God, sounds a lot like the old dragon, Satan himself. The AC comes at the 6th trump 6th seal 6th vial (666).

Jesus Christ comes at the 7th (777) 6 comes before seven.

Hmm who was the serpent in the garden of Eden? The tree of knowledge of good and evil, not a literal tree it was Satan! If you can find the word apple in Genesis, I'll eat my shoes! DO NOT BE DECEIVED! Also why isn't Cain mentioned in Adam's geneology in Genesis chapter 5 if he were Adam's son?

I urge you te read the entire 8th chapter of John so you can see who Jesus is talking to.

No I'm not saying that Jews are the offspring of Satan. The term Jew means either resident of Judea or that of the tribe of Judah (Sons of Jacob) of The tribes of Israel. Do not misunderstand what is being said here. Those that PRETEND to be Jews but do lie. Also, this is not me saying it, it's the word of God!

Look to Jerusalem for the arriving of the false Christ Satan himself playing the role of Jesus. It's the ultimate test folks. How familiar are you with the word?

I forgot to say also that the antichrist absolutely IS NOT here yet. Satan's spirit certainly is here as is the Holy Spirit but there will come a time when Michael casts him down here de facto and he will be acting as if he were Jesus Christ himself. IT IS NOT A HUMAN BEING FOLKS! Though there are many people that are against Christ, the term antichrist properly translates to in stead of Christ! Everyone's gonna know when the AC arrives, but most will believe he is Christ since the rapture theory is so widely taught and believed!

Eze 13:20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly.

(i.e. you don't have to repent once you're saved, once saved always saved. That's a lie! Even when you're saved you still need to repent when you sin!)

OK, this guy thinks George Dubya is the AC. I've also heard Prince Charles, some dude in Spain, (can't think of his name), Satan, (yea, right ),

Pope John Paul II, *(who's dead now, BTW), and someone here says, Saddam Hussein, (who hardly fits the mold if you study Daniel at all)....

Anybody who's bothered to read Daniel, (i.e. a prophet for those who don't know)...would know that the AC is not given to women, (which Saddam clearly was) and should know that Saddam was taken down in a spidar hole intact and dirty but with NO WOUND to his head.

Saddam wasn't preceeded by any false prophet either.

Ya'll, I'm no prophesy pro, but I've read enough scripture to know who it WON'T be....geez, this reminds me so much of all the people clammering that Pope John Paul II was the AC...now they have egg on their face.

The point is, the rapture theory IS NOT biblical. Christ didn't teach that Christians are gonna fly away and the rest are going to be left here to be devoured and tortured by Satan and the locust army. The locust army is the 7000 fallen angels that will come down with Satan after Michael forces them out of heaven to earth de facto! Again Satan isn't coming to destroy but to deceive people into thinking he's Christ himself. The pretrib rapture theory is one of the deceptions that set it up for Satan to deceive. VERY DANGEROUS teaching and it will cause many to perish spiritually.

It was not Margaret that actually started the theory it was priests that took it and ran with it to fill up the pews so they could do something religious like pass the plate around. They figured with that theory in place they wouldn't have to teach the bible and they could look like saints and people would just believe them and not question their teachings. Margaret MacDonald was a sick woman and she even told the priests that her vision was evil.

You see Christ is coming back for the wedding. Christ is the groom and Christians are the bride. How would you feel if you were betrothed to one and left and came back to find them whoring with another? Christ will not be happy with those that whore after Satan thinking he's Christ. Woe to those that give suck! (that means woe to those that help feed the lies that Satan uses to deceive!)

Ignorance is one thing but willful deception is quite another!
