That is quite a interesting question, well Joseph had them swore a oath to take his bones out of Eygpt, yet what I find as a some head scratcher is, when Joseph died they embalmed him and place the body in a coffin.

so in my pondering mind, a embalmed body would take a long time to actually become just bones. and the account kind of just drops off right there about the embalming and the coffin.

My question would be Is there farther verses that actually mentions them carry away the bones?

It really does not matter if the bones of Joseph still had some embarmed flesh on them when the Hebrews took His bones back to Egypt.. In the end they still took his bones back to Egypt.. Flesh or no flesh..

Question::::    What King in the Old testament used the gold and silver vessals taken from the Temple of Jerusalem to use as drinking vessels for a feast he held for and his princes, his wives, and his concubines?????

True indeed, but I do wonder if the embalming was a request as well.
