In the book of Acts, it states that one of the necessary things to forbid Christians from doing is eating blood.

The problem is that they intentionally made the decision to use improper words when they translated from Greek to English.  As such, the translation is false.

Galatians 3:28 is not false.

I have a suggestion for those in charge at Worthy Christian Forums.  I think there should be a new label for Catholics.  Instead of Royal Member, why not just say Catholic?  That way we know what we are dealing with up front.  It certainly explains a lot.  The same thing could be done for cults like Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses.  That way we will immediately recognize they are not real Christians....

If you're saying that those in charge here can't tell a cultist from a true Christian, why tell me as I'm not running this website? Tell them!

Amen Gary.......I was raised Catholic too, baptised, communion, and confirmed and attended catholic schools right through high school.  It is sad that for all their belief about life in the Eucharist, there is no life in Catholicism....

"Jesus said to them, 'Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you" (John 6:53).

But Jesus didn't say "save"; he said you have no life in you without partaking of his body and blood.

Jesus is talking about eternal life and a saved person is a person who has eternal life through faith alone in Christ alone.

And Lady Kay was referring to the perception of evil from the perspective of others, not God.

Yes, I know that.  But the Bible in I Thess. 5:22 is using the Greek word "poneron" which is defining evil from God's perspective.  And it is God's perspective that is of primary importanace.

What his disciples couldn't accept was Jesus' claiming to be the Bread of Life (John 6:48).

Wrong.  What is disciples rejected was his claim that He was the giver of eternal life, making Him God.   The word for "life" is the Greek word "zoe" which is the Greek word for eternal life that comes only from God.

I realize that the RCC is a little slow on the uptake when it comes to good, sound biblical doctrine.

GOD has mercy on us people , HE sure does.  He has drawn men and women out of that pit of darkness wherein their is no life nor hope.

While I may never have been one.   What I was , \was simply one of the worst wicked things ever .   GOD had mercy on me too.

Called me out , drew me to Christ and put me directly IN the B   I   B   L   E,  which by those holy scrips , makes us wise unto salvation

and far from the salvation of many men in many churches gone wrong.     OH let us praise the LORD for his mercy indeed.  and let us pray that many trapped in deception

of mens traditions and lies , will be set free in Christ to learn and grow and feed on the real true holy scrips and not the doctrines taught by men which have led many astray .

Amen brother......and that is true in most all the churches as well.  I was led astray even by evangelical groups until the Lord led me out, to seek Him in His word alone.  But at least at the time I came to faith in Christ, some still had the gospel, thankfully......praise God for His mercy, indeed!  Apostasy is much worse and more widespread now.....and the glory has departed from most of them, sadly.

Very well put, Heleadethme. It sounds just like myself, all the way through high school. I have had to go to a few funerals at some old catholic churches I had been to many years past. When I enter the church, I feel such a foreboding, a feeling of despair as I listen to the priest, and look at the people, many of which are relatives and friends, and such a sense of hopelessness. I see people that  are so entrenched in church tradition and doctrine, never hearing a gospel message, and feeling a sense of despair, like you said, devoid of His Spirit. Looking at all the paintings and statues of dead "saints" people pray to, like a good luck charm, trying to get an inside track on God's ear, not knowing they can go directly to God and not need an earthly intercessor, only our advocate, Jesus Christ.   1John,2:1  And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous  Yes there are well meaning Catholics, but never reading God's letters written to us, only hearing what the church has decided they need to hear. Why is it so many, going to church, never understand salvation cannot be worked for, cannot be bought, no mater how many novenas, rosaries, stations of the cross, masses, eucharists, confessions, baptisms, the sacraments, etc. It's a gift. From our Creator. His great and wondrous Grace. Only add your part, faith.
2Co 4:3,4  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Amen Gary, bless you.  To have any other advocate besides Christ Jesus is sinful and any organization that teaches and perpetuates that is guilty of egregious error and will have to give account to God for the souls they led to hell.  Well they have not the Spirit to help them understand the word of God, they rely on the intellect which is enmity with God........and the organization itself is self-interested and instead of just being a means to an end, to point souls to Christ and His salvation, it is and always has been since its inception, an end in itself.  It keeps souls in bondage to itself instead of freeing them to serve and worship God in Christ alone.  Unfortunately after the reformation the evangelical churches did not separate themselves enough from the ways of the mother institution and has produced a lot of the same kind of fruits, especially now that the fruit of it has grown to the full, instead of being a viable living Body with all its divers parts under one Head, it has been a one man in a pulpit kind of organization....antichrist.  This is WHY it is falling away now, and all will lead to the Antichrist and persecution of those who remain faithful to Christ alone.

Do you have enough faith in Christ alone to believe that he is the "bread of life" in the here and now?

How good is your uptake on this biblical doctrine?

"'... I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

"The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, 'How can this man give us his flesh to eat?'

"Then Jesus said unto them, 'Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

'"Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

"'For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

"'He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

"'As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.

"'This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.'

"These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.

"Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?

"When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, 'Doth this offend you?'"

John 6 (KJV).

Does it offend you too?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
