Are overweight people the only ones people can get away with discriminating against these days? Does being a little overweight (I'm not talking morbidly obese) somehow affect job performance? And why aren't over weight men subject to the same bias? My company hires overweight men all the time. This makes me mad.... https://nypost.com/2017/12/11/most-hiring-managers-will-not-even-consider-employing-an-overweight-woman/

I knew a woman supervisor who would only hire young, thin good looking men. They are given some power. For some people you give them a little power and it is scary. When I was in high school which was a very long time ago I wanted to be a flight attendant. The regulations for height and weight were very strict. I was ok with the weight regulations but you had to be 5 ft 2 in or over. I was only 5ft 1 in.

Why are people still surprised? This is natural in a Godless society. Praying is all we can do in response. You won't change peoples' hearts by exposing what's already prevalent. Other than encourage these things to be done in secrecy.

Good point but I hope that is changing.

The world is filled with hipocracy and activism runs arm and arm. Look at the TV and see how many pretty women there are as opposed to those who are considered by the general public as being average looks. This is a sick world and Jesus is the only cure because the sickness comes from the heart of men, through the sins of Adam.

Why women? It's been awhile, but I don't remember group health insurance carriers asking for the weights of employees. Individual policies yes, but group policies no. Has it changed under the fear and terror of Obamacare era? I know the threat is out there by the liberals to outlaw foods drinks and so on, but workplace and insurance discrimination that one I have not yet heard. it seems the next logical step I suppose. Hey bet it would be fun to fire up the old Wi and step on it! It might go like this; "Hello neighbor it has been 3051 days since you were here. Would you like to do a body mass assessment?" Okay. "Step on." "WHOA Neighbor what has happened to you you have gained mega pounds your body mass index is _ _!" " I'm telling the Federal authorities and notifying New York City too. Didn't know I was programed to do that did you?!" I have worked fat for about 35 years am in my seventies, my mother just passed away heavy at 93. I don't see many, if any, skinny very old people, hmmm. Guess the skinny one's bones just get to rattling, racking and sinking, while the plump amongst us just roll along and float with the tides. Why I think God even might favor the plump with old age. Edited December 12, 2017 by Neighbor
