I've been betrayed by Christians more than by nonChristians.  Many times too.  First you must forgive them.  You already know that....Second...You have to remember that they are people, only people...and they are full of holes...rotten spots.   Then they are sometimes taught silly things like, everything they have, everything you have belongs to God not to you or them.  So they tend to get careless...Lend them a mower and have to rebuild it after you've gone to get it back a month later......Lend them your car and ....oh big mistake!

For some reason, Christians, and not just the new Christians, have a 'peculiar' way of thinking....Too much churchy doctrine and not enough Word...

Lol that is funny?, churchy doctrine. I would add twisted preacher thinking to that.

 LOL  I use the term because many doctrines taught in churches in general, are interesting but do not line up with the Word.   The silly doctrine I mentioned above.....'everything I have belongs to God' as an example.  God gave it to me...That makes it mine....Now if I want it to belong to God...I can dedicate it to Him.   On the other hand....You give your son a bicycle, then he goes around and every time someone says "Hey!  Nice bike."  he says   "Yes!  Amen....It's my father's bike....."    How would you feel?   Like  "I gave him that bike, why does he not accept it?"  Would you be hurt?  I think so.

Christians are most definitely a 'peculiar' people.   LOL

There's mixed message just here:   as if all things are not God's (or are you being /sarcastic? ....  All things are God's.

Jesus says clearly not to claim anything as your own.   The first assembly of ecclesia knew this and shared all things in common.

Too much churchy doctrine today is false gospel,  and many members and visitors have ears being tickled.  This started in the first century,  and God warned many times about this,  and it is still prevalent here (on the forum).

Yes, for all the things written in Scripture are true, entirely true - "many false prophets" , "many false teachers" (never many good/ true teachers or prophets or pastors) ;   rather:  "many anti-christs in our midst.  (true today and yesterday and tomorrow) .....   This is normal world life/ society/ churches everywhere - accepted as if true, deceiving the multitudes and most visitors/posters.

Jesus said not to claim anything as your own?  Where is that?

If God gives you something, its yours.

As you or someone already posted,   "deceived more by so-called "Christians" " has left you without the basics.

Read ACTS,  and

COUNT the cost . When one by grace has counted the cost and realizes that indeed it will cost him all, even the loss of all things even death , YET SAYS AMEN O LORD whether I live or die ,whether I suffer and lose all...............I FOLLOW THEE no matter what the cost. THEN by grace THAT ONE has indeed counted the cost and FOUND the PRIZE of knowing JESUS as far above all.

Ive been to many services where when the preacher or priest spoke his interpretation of the readings, i knew it was wrong. Gods spirit would move in me.

I tell you. In my thinking, I look at it as poison to the minds who listen.

During those services, I have stood up and countered with scripture and the words God puts in my heart.

Ive had ushers try to silence me, but I will speak all the louder.

Lol

If it is any quote of scripture, then Jesus already said it.

Scripture, "Word of God"

So you're saying that you can't find it?  Or that Jesus didn't really say that?   Ok...Where does the bible say that?  I really would like to know.

Where it talks about being stewards, as well as where it says we are to have our treasures above and store not up for ourselves on earth.  And also this verse:

1Corinthians 7:29-31

But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none;

And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not;

And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
