I had come in here maybe a month ago asking for advice on ways to show what the bible says about homosexuality because of the Day of Silence at my school. Because it is not well known, the Day of Silence is bascially a way of protesting discrimination against gays, lesbians, homosexuals, transexuals... etc. Thankyou again for everybody's support and prayers in this matter.

Due to lack of time, and failure of my principle to respond to my letters prior to 1-2 weeks before the day, there was not much that i could actually do. Two days before the day, i was still communicating with my dad as to what could be done. My principle was not much help. She informed me that i coudl only get into trouble if it was a hate crime. FOr instance, "I don't like you because you are homsexual". I am not allowed to do that. She then, not knowing she was my gov't teacher, tried to send me to Ms Frick, who is the head of the GSA(Gay STraight Alliance) at my school. However, that was a trap, i knew.

Two days before the Day of Silence, i started making a T- shirt saying that "Marraige = Man + Women" and on the back was "Keep Marragie Sacred"

I wanted to put that Homosexuality is a sin, but, because of guidance by a family friend who is a teacher at my middle school, i learned that i cannot do that without being suspended for five days.

My dad called up my principle the day before to confirm that the shirt was ok, and was prepared to argue if she said it wasn't. However, "An incident had occured and she was in a meeting."

THe next day, i went into school wearing the shirt, and at first period, i recieved a pass stating "Go to Ms Kubic's office now!", and there I went. To sum up what she said, I am not to wear the shirt because it disrupts education, and i am especially not allowed ot wear it on that given day because it is set aside for them.

There are still three more years... now i know what i can and cannot do so far. Lord willing, a prayer/bible study group can be set up for next year. After that, it all depends upon where the Lord leads.

And besides, it was nice to have them shutup for a day while i talked about why it was wrong! Ok, so i didn't talk about why it was wrong that day. I don't know why i didn't. I think it might have something to do with that my principle is a flake and maybe i was nervous to speak after dealing with her. Well, there are still three more years to get it out in my school and this is also to say for those who are still in school, or those that have a job, to STAND UP FOR WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS!

Tell everyone you know! In Acts, there were said to have "turned their world upside down". We need to be bold in spreading the gospel. I will be the first to admit that i am so sheepish and scared when it comes to talking to people, that it took 6 years before i admitted to anybody at school i even went to chuch.

Tell everyone you know! Preach Christ Crusified!!!!!!

And remember, never changed what you believe or justify not doing something that is right because of what other people say.

I say just leave them alone personally.

Talk about it at church if you want to, but Im assuming you go to a public school where almost everything is supposed to be put in a positive manner, so at public school, christianity is good! homosexuality is good! diversity is good! war is good! no war is good! heterosexuality is good! Islam is good! are all examples of allowed stances at a public school, but you cant go any deeper than those statements without getting in trouble. Deal with it, I say, keeps the country running like a well oiled machine if everyone is happy.

Talk with the homosexuals after school if you think its that important, dont just display that you think they are wrong, reach out to them. As for their supporters, well, they are straight anyway, so they dont need any convincing.

Im really tired, so i apologize if my post makes no sense

Kitty,

Do not be discouraged.

You see when you refuse to sign the treaty? It usually means it's time to get it on. The trick is this though. You have God on your side and an innumerable quantity of Angels.

Stepping out in Faith will cause a response. Like maybe a flaky Principle? ;)

Either way they too will one day bend the knee and Confess that Jesus is Lord. You have already won Kitty. Be encouraged. Just stepping out is a victory. According to Hebrews there is a great grandstand of Saint's in heaven cheering you on. Hallelujah!

The Bible say's His thoughts towards you are Good. Get that? Not one thought? Not even the thought the day He Created you. His inumerable current thought's are continually Good towards you. Someone once told me to think about the probability's God had to go thru from the foundation of Creation. To have His Loving Daughter Kitty in that School. On that particular day to just Love Jesus. All the other folks were walking around having their fun and friends and even their agenda. Yet there you were walking with Jesus. Just cuddled up next to Him. Loving Him with all your heart. They were like,"Why you hanging with Him? He's so Judgemental!" You were like, "He's all I've ever wanted, I Love Him. Matter of fact He's all you've ever wanted isn't He?"

Kitty you keep Loving Jesus. Keep wiping away the spittle from His lips. Hold on tight as they stone Him sister. Whisper in His ear how much you Love Him and appreciate what He did for you. You see He's gone on to victory. He's taking you with Him cause He can see your heart.

We must understand that Jesus Christ is a man of Action. He didn't stand still for the status quo. He met it head on.

Be encouraged and of Good Cheer!

Peace,

Dave

 Kitty! You keep wearing your shirt! It is not "hateful", your shirt has nothing to do with hating anyone. It doesn't after all say "kill homosexuals" or anything, so it cannot be considered a "hate crime". You are simply stating your stance on a current issue. You CANNOT get in trouble for that, even if they try to suspend you or whatever, I would press the issue that the shirt had nothing to do with hate. Take it higher than your principal if you have to.

I have been there. I went to public school all my life. (I graduated 11 years ago now, but it doesn't seem that long ago). I would wear christian shirts to school and there were those that tried to scare me out of wearing them by threatening suspension, or other discipline. I was never disrespectful, but I asked them to show me written documentation that what I was wearing was not my constitutional right to wear. There was never any proof shown to me. I also had a teacher who (history class) wanted me to participate in a fortune telling type activity as part of a final. I refused to participate. She berated me for showing discrimination because I would not play the game. I told her she could teach me, tell me, show me what it was this group of people believed in and did, but she could NOT make ME DO it. She threatened to fail me (after I had done A+ work up to that point) I told her to do what she felt she needed to do, but I was going to look into whether or not she could fail me based on what had happened. I took it before the school (principal, etc) and she didn't have a leg to stand on. They required her to give me a written exam and restore my grade to an A.

I am proud of you! Don't let adults try to scare you into dictating what rights you do or don't have. YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE A CHRISTIAN IN A PUBLIC SCHOOL!! Stand up for it! Jesus will help you! I will be praying for you!

Kitty, there are people who can and will help you with discrimination issues at your school. They will tell you if you are legally allowed to wear the shirt, and they will tell you what you are allowed to say and what you are not allowed to say. If you are being discriminated against and are not allowed to wear the shirt, you can contact them and they will tell you your legal rights and help you if you are being denied your legal rights.

There is a "contact us" button on the website. Also, try to pull him (Jay Sekulow) in on your local Christian station - the website can tell you when he is on what stations, then you can call in. Just make sure you have all of your facts before you contact them, as they are very, very busy. Have your school dress code in hand, and any other pertinent information. Write down the things that are said to you by the Principal and others, word for word.

Hope that helps. Keep on keepin' on, girl!

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
