The testiony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy .I believe I know who Jesus is speaking to and it isn't the 12 apostles.Im sure they have died by now.

Yes good point!  They were also told the kingdom was at hand, but 2000 odd years have gone by.  It was always at hand for every generation because our lives on this earth are short. 

John 7:6   Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.

 

But I have something to add. 

Those 12 apostles preached on foot back then, but today they are still preaching for the Word is preserved and the Word is alive!.... the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Matthew 24:14   And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

That includes all of Israel, but not just Israel.  Everyone gets a chance to hear the gospel which is centred around Jesus...for a witness only.

Jesus preached the gospel for three and a half years .During that time Israel was occupied by a gentile military .Jesus was judged by the leaders of Israel and the le they handled.His punishment was carried out by that gentile millitary.

Fast forward to the last three and a half years.

Jesus's disciples are to preach the gospel to Israel.Israel or at least Jerusalem will be occupied by a gentile millitary at that time.It will exorcise all the authority of the first beast on his behalf.

For three and a half years the christians in Israel will be persrecuted and judged by the leaders of Israel according to the law they handle.

Thats why the Christians in this verse are killed or put in,prison.The Israeli government still makes the rules. It,is just given some help by the second beast.

Only partially? Exactly what point in Bible chronology are you referring to?

My personal opinion for a long time has been the 24 Elders are the 12 Apostles (Rev 21: 14), and the children of the twelve tribes of Israel (Rev 21: 12). Twelve is the number of 'Governmental Perfection' and twenty-four is the number of 'The Priesthood'. We know that since the Apostles and the saved from the 12 Tribes of Israel are now in Heaven, so that means there has been the general Rapture / Resurrection that has taken place. So we Christians are there also. 

It will clear things up knowing 'when' you're talking about?

Which Kingdom?

The Kingdom or God, or the Kingdom of Heaven, a lot of debate there. One could debate both are one and the same. One might debate the 'Kingdom of God' started at Christ's resurrection and is the 'Age of Grace', and so forth? Which view(s) do you have on the Kingdoms?

As for the two witnesses.I dont believe the cloud they go up into heaven is a white fluffy cloud.

I believe that cloud is probably mushroom shaped and full of fire burning up everyone around them.Im betting it ascends into the heavens as a scroll being rolled together.

Daniel 11:21-35 is historical and gives the 5th kingdom of the  beast lead by Antiochus IV just  before the first century

The 70th week decreed for Israel is the next setting still to come [Daniel 11:36-45]
