Yep, life was much easier. I can not even imagine what it will be like in 10 more years

The way this world is headed and how everything is speeding up ,   I imagine by ten years lots

of us will or may be hearing   ITS MOVIE TIME PEOPLE as some are gathered outside and the old screen projector is rolling

and dogs barking in the back ground, and over the loud horn its said,    FUNDAMENTALISM BAD,  ALL WAYS GOOD.   aka camps for re education or worse .

Enjoying your posts on this thread, bless you all.  I liked the 80's mostly because I was young and skinny, lol.  I found Jesus in the mid-80's, or rather He found me.  It was not really an innocent decade in society......however, life was simpler and that much more wholesome for children without the internet and i-phones and all the gadgetry that kids are absorbed with now.  Nothing wrong with being nostalgic, it's normal to go through times of missing one's youth, and it can be useful in God's purposes.  I went through a period years ago where I was nostalgic for my childhood and visited my old neighbourhood and walked around the places I used to wander as a child.......think it was during my third visit that the Lord in His goodness healed my childhood.  And i found that with my childhood resolved, the nostalgia for those years went away.  I'm 60 now, and as I get older I am finding that I get less and less nostalgic in general for my youth and am just pressing on for what lies ahead.  We find that the ties to this world sort of melt away bit by bit as we go along in the Lord.  This life is short and full of trouble, just as the Lord says.......we are not here for long, life goes swiftly by and then we fly away.....nothing really matters but Jesus and being in His will.......love not your life in this world.

Sister you praise the Lord.     you loved sister .    I worry for so many that are so tied into technology.  this whole deal will backfire in time

when the very tech they love and are beholden too , will become the very enslaver of the world .    I do not like where i see this all heading.

When my boy was younger , OH yeah it was his twelfth birthday and he had a friend with him.

As usual i took my boy on walks , bicycle rides and things like that .  HIS friend who was twelve also

made a comment that floored me .     Noah was being silly and they were asking each other what they would do if they had a million dollars.

Now noah knows my speech about the love of money .  but anyway,   he asked that kid .    And this floored me.

HE said he would buy noahs dad, cause he actually does things with us and don't just sit on a computer like his dad.

I had no idea that made such an impact.    But that is sad.  because sadly some parents do that .  they just sit and let the kids do whatever

as they are hugged on their computer.      The kids actually do desire and can tell when affection is genuine .    I know i never had much money

and personally don't care .     Gadgets and all that stuff is a distraction.  but to hear a kid of this generation say that ,   was suprising .

THEY do KNOW .  As much as i told noah when he was growing up about the LORD and yes i was grave at times.

We always did cheap things together , like walks, throwing the ball, things like that .  Due to i did not ever once let him on no computer , nor video games.

He got all that from other family .    I pray it sinks in to noah.   i do.

Are you saying that he is really ninety five years old .   That man would remember world war two.     He should be able to see history repeating

i talked to some old , old ones.    and i still to this day remember what this lady told me.   She said it with horror in her eyes,

she too said History is repeating ,  and that what they did to the jews , would be repeated , only it wont be mainly jews.

Them old timers are dying out .   and history is being changed .  they lying to this generation .    ITS BEING REPEATED only my ,

its world wide , one monster of a tribulation is coming .  IT REALLY IS.  but no fear   , this life is but a vapor .  if i die or live through it ,  THE LORD has me .

Thus whether i live or die i am the Lords.  BUT IT IS COMING .

I know what you mean.......see so many young moms at the park with their kids, but they are on their cell-phones and not interacting with their children.  To think that most of those moms are working too and so that's what "quality time" with the kids looks like now.......they know not what they are doing.  No wonder the mental health statistics for the young are skyrocketing.  Yes, I also know what it's like to have your children exposed to things against your wishes, sadly.  The Lord is faithful....we'll keep praying for our kids.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
