Satan has since the beginning of time used "man" to rebel against God.  Do you remember when Satan took Jesus up to a high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the earth, and that he would give them all to him if only he bowed down and worshiped him?  Well Satan has made the same offer to man.  There are men who are in direct communication with Lucifer and offer him sacrifices, and in return they receive power and riches.  There is one family or bloodline in particular who took Satan up on his offer.  This is the 10 kings who are serving Lucifer at the highest level.  They hold most of the worlds wealth and power, and he has given them all this in return for their unholy sacrifices made to him.  This is the end time beast who Satan is using for his purposes.  They also have a leader over them and he is the false prophet.  They work together.  These men are born in the earth, but the very plan, and purpose of this kingdom comes from Satan who is of the bottomless pit.  This kingdom is not heavenly, but from below, because it is so evil and it's roots are of Satan.  He is the whole foundation of this wicked kingdom which came out of the bottomless pit for the sole purpose of destroying not only Christians, but mankind.

Once you understand this, you will realise it is not Apollyon or Abaddon because he is only one of the chief angels who is locked up in the bottomless pit, and his job is to cause war amongst the nations at his release.  He is under Satan and does the stirring for war.  Satan has his 10 kings, and the Son of Perdition who will take care of the rest, because they too are also serving him.  Satan has many angels, and their jobs are to entice man to do evil.  They cannot act for man, because man is given that choice on who he will serve.

How do you know that Abaddon is not the king of the Abyss? .... what do the scriptures tell?

Sorry, he is not in charge of war.  I was wrong.  Abaddon is king over those angels who are let loose during the 5th trumpet.  The job of these angels are to sting men for 5 months who do not have the seal of God.  He is king over these ones, one of Satan's chiefs.  In charge of a particular job as the scriptures show us below.

Abaddon is not above Satan in rank.  It is Satan who is bound for a thousand years at the Coming, and a seal set over him so that he cannot deceive the nations any more until the 1000 years expires.  Satan is the chief of the chiefs in his kingdom of darkness.  Abaddon is under him, not the top dog.

Satan is the one who will give the coarse to Abaddon .... this one is the beast of Revelation 13

The scriptures do not say that Abaddon is one the beasts in Revelation 13, but that he is king over that group of angels who are in the bottomless pit, which are currently bound there, but will be released at the 5th trumpet.  He is an angel of the bottomless pit, not an angel of heaven.  He is their chief.  See the difference.

How can that be?  He is one of the angels who was imprisoned before the flood.  He has not had free reign to rule over any kingdom.  He has been bound in the bottomless pit.  He was never around after the flood. 

Those angels who mingled with men before the flood were locked up.  They were punished.  He can only be one of them.

Also the "antichrist" as you call him, is already ruling before Abaddon gets let out.  Abaddon is released on the 5th trumpet.  The 1st trumpet starts after the Mark of the Beast is issued.  The False Prophet and the beast are already ruling way before Abaddon is released?

Abaddon is the antichrist and has existed from the beginning

Here are the 7 kingdoms of the beast in the Middle East outlined in scripture

The first 5.... the one in Ezekiel 38 at the beginning of Satan's ploy, the next, the Assyrian, the neo-Babylonian, the Persian, and the Northern Middle Eastern part of Antiochus IV and his bout with Israel

 Then Abaddon went to the abyss and will come out of the abyss at the beginning of the 70th week decreed for Israel still pending

This evil angel is part of Satan's debacle to rule the earth [Revelation 9:11]

The beast, the false prophet, and the human little horn is the devil's triad

This beast will fight the Lord at Armageddon and will then be destroyed in the Lord's lake of fire [Revelation 19:19-20]

I would suggest that you study your Bible for details
