Do you have evidence of that? The Protestants did not come to be until the 1500, the Inquisitions were well before that (1200's) and went on past that.

Inquisitions only killed about 5000-6000 people in total. With Protestants we have the massacres against Catholics in England, Germany, and Ireland, colonization of North America, and the Thirty years war, which claimed more lives then the Catholic Church did in its whole history.

Thanks for the non-evidence and I thought you were speaking of Catholics killing Protestants and vice-versa not things like the Crusades which you conveniently left off.

Crusades were technically wars therefore not msaacres unless you talk about specific massacres during the war.

When you buy into Catholic white-washing, you buy into it all the way.  You may want to try non-biased sources for information instead of nothing but Catholic Apologist sites.

I noticed that when asked for details on your so-called Protestant atrocities we received . . . nothing.  Well, except for the standard "There was no such a thing as the Inquisition and Priests didn't do it."

And, as all Catholic Apologists do, you yourself have downgraded the Victim count from 5000 - 6000 victims to 3000 - 5000 victims.  Using that formula in a week your posts on the subject will have Inquisition deaths in the triple digits.  With a little hard work and more biased sources you can kick it down below 100 by mid-May.

Can you refute it? It's not white washing its historic facts. It was either 5000-6000 or a number inbetween, can you prove from non biased sources the death toll was millions high as I keep hearing.

"Only killed about 5000-6000 people in total"...I see. So if it's more than say, 10,000 or more, then it matters? Then we have this:

Simply renaming something that kills many people makes it okay?  it's a war if done by one group, but a massacre if done by another?

The thing is Mishael, you fail to see people. You claim you "don't hate Americans", but then go on to state that you "hate the US"; you deride protestants, but excuse the RCC, and so on. The government of the US didn't do right by you, and I cannot blame your anger on that. But to include the rest of the nation (people make up this nation, not machines or political entities) in your anger, to spit vitriol at "Protestants" without realizing they are more than just the denomination names and governing bodies and to simply regard numbers that are "not so impressive" as "only" says this to me:

If it's people in your nation, in your town, then it matters to you. But those numbers who died that you do not know, deaths that happened in ages past, people you never met in person in another nation, or those who are in a "denomination", and they can just go rot in fire for all you care?

Jonah had the same problem as you do in a sense: he didn't see those he was sent to preach to as human beings, and simply wanted to wait for God to send a divine nuclear strike upon them:

"But it greatly displeased Jonah and he became angry. He prayed to the LORD and said, “Please LORD, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, and one who relents concerning calamity. “Therefore now, O LORD, please take my life from me, for death is better to me than life.” The LORD said, “Do you have good reason to be angry?” Then Jonah went out from the city and sat east of it. There he made a shelter for himself and sat under it in the shade until he could see what would happen in the city. So the LORD God appointed a plant and it grew up over Jonah to be a shade over his head to deliver him from his discomfort. And Jonah was extremely happy about the plant. But God appointed a worm when dawn came the next day and it attacked the plant and it withered. When the sun came up God appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun beat down on Jonah’s head so that he became faint and begged with all his soul to die, saying, “Death is better to me than life.” Then God said to Jonah, “Do you have good reason to be angry about the plant?” And he said, “I have good reason to be angry, even to death.” Then the LORD said, “You had compassion on the plant for which you did not work and which you did not cause to grow, which came up overnight and perished overnight. Should I not have compassion on Nineveh, the great city in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know the difference between their right and left hand, as well as many animals?” (Jonah, chapter 4, NASB, emphasis mine)

Like Jonah, you want compassion, but are unwilling to give any. With that being the case, I'm just going to have to leave you to your bitterness and vitriol. While I cannot blame you for your anger, you spew it at those who have not wronged you, and ignore those who have suffered.

And that I cannot abide.

Please do not bother replying to me; I won't be able to see it after I place you on "ignore".

-Sojo414 out.

If Protestants attack and deride Orthodox and Catholics I will respond with facts.

I honestly don't understand how a thread about the extreme cruelty of Islam became a debate between fellow Christians.   This is truly sad.

Yes. I can....

Divide and conquer.

Muslims have stages of war fare given to them by their manual.

The larger the population becomes inside the nation they seek to over run the more brazen and more confident in their actions.

A point of discussion I would love to add to is: how does a Christian nation that is thriving without guidance from the talmud and koran,  expected to grow in strength adopting one of these as its government guide and the other as a growing blueprint for its future? Both of which are adversary to Christ and his teachings.

The bible teaches us about the history or enmity between good and bad and offers us a perfect future proof way of cleansing our lands of these evil elements.

Why are we not discussing this as standard???

Who sowed the seeds of invite for these two foreign elements to grow in the first place. It has not happened over night but gradually, incrementally, one policy change at a time over a period of time.

Does the truth not have the ability to destroy lies?

Let us look at what has happened.

This is fresh history so it doesn't have to rely on purely academic references that by which like we have seen cause confusion or serve to derail a topic.

Who invited Ishmeal into Jacobs pasture? Who opened the gate from the inside?

That has always been one of the Terms of Service and the board has been around for a long time, so there goes that theory.

No, I think it is extremely unwise to confront a Mormon or a JW, or an atheist in that particular manner.  I'm sure that is going to motivate them to question where they are at in their relationship with Christ, or help them realize they need one:

"Welcome to Worthy.  BTW Mormon, you're not saved."

The statement might be accurate, but congratulations, you have instantly alienated them.  Good job.

If it is the truth then it is the truth and if someone is open to the truth then when the truth is revealed to them they will respond to it given time...

Actually i do not hate you Mishael.. But i hate catholicism for sure and declare it openly..

I hate catholicism more then i hate islam ( note i do not hate muslims either )  Why do i hate catholicism more then i hate islam?  Because a false religion that is closer to the truth is more able to deceive and lead people to eternity in the lake of fire.. It would be vary rare for a well Bible versed Christians to be ever won over the the deception of islam.. But catholicism being far closer to Christianity is far more able to deceive people into destruction..

Again, wrong rational.  Do you hate just the denomination, or the people in it too?  I'll condemn Catholicism at every turn because, biblically-speaking, 90% of their doctrine is false.  But I have a great deal of sadness and compassion for the people trapped in it, since they are consigned to a false doctrine hamster wheel.  The same goes for Islam.  Those people are in the same bondage to a false belief system.

The difference between Catholicism and Islam in terms of physical danger today is pronounced.  The RCC killed a lot of people in the name of their "Christ."  But they aren't killing them today.  Right now, as I write this, somewhere in this world a person, or people are being killed in the name of Islam.  That is the clear and present danger, to the entire world.  To a Muslim, there is no difference between a Catholic or a Protestant.  Both are heretics to Islam and they have to convert or die.  They don't get any other option.  And in some countries that are virulent in their passion for Allah, some of those people are not even given the opportunity to convert, they just get the "die" option.  Mishael is misguided in a few areas, but he is 100% correct in one aspect.  While the Socialists, Liberals, Progressives in this country whinge about so-called Islamophobia, they could care less about Christians being openly persecuted in places like North Korea, Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan and Pakistan.  For the "Top Ten" list of countries where Christians are most persecuted, all of them except North Korea are Muslim.   Your zeal is admirable, but it is mis-placed.

Your question reveals that you clearly did not read my post.. I said in my post that i did not hate Misheal... But you had the termerity to actually quote my statement and then ask the question """Do you hate just the denomination, or the people in it too?""" So you show that you have not read my post.  And your not interested in reading my posts.. Therefore from this moment on i do not see the point in continuing any discussion with you..

You are now on my ignore list..

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
