Were the Laodecians Christians? If they kept on as they were, after seeing themselves through God’s eyes, was everything fine? Like them, we think we have need of nothing. Did He see them as complete in Him, or did He warm them that something had to change, and it was not Him?

Look closely at the book of Acts and you will see that this is what an alive church looks like, a church with ‘complete’ healing. Men would exclaim “ whole how they love one another!” They turned the whole world upside down because of their walking in their new natures.

Conversely, look at us as a whole. Split into 500+ different bickering denominations, with the world having nothing but disdain for us for our hypocrisy, as they see us saying one thing, doing another, well, that is being healed only slightly. We each look at our own walks and think everything is ok, and it might be ....but... the church as a whole is a mess. Listen to what God says about this:

"You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the LORD Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house.”

              Haggai 1:9

But God will not let His Name be left in disrepute. He will open our eyes... yes, awaken us..... to see what He sees, a people content without true Godly hearts, without eternal eyes, without real victory over the world, the flesh or the devil. And He will also let us see the real cure for our malaise, new natures that we can put on simply by admitting our old ones are a mess.

You say we will never have real victory till Christ returns. But is that scriptural? Here is what God’s Word says:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

                     1 Thessalonians 5:23

Are we not told that we are all called to possess our bodies in sanctification and honor? Are we not urged to bring every thought, let alone our actions, unto the obedience of Christ? And when is this to occur? In this life, right now.

And when we as the church awake to this, and put ofd our old natures as if they are filthy rags, which they are, and put on our new ones, created in righteousness and true holiness, and learn how to abide in Him, where He keeps us from falling, all day, every day, just as He promised, the world will look on in amazement.

God is coming back for a bride prepared for the wedding. We are not ready. Is it possible that there are individuals who are indeed ready? Yes. But if they are truly walking in the Lord, they will carry an overwhelming burden to see the bride as a whole to be found  resplendent in glory, filled with love for both God and for one another.

This may seem as impossible right now.. Thank God that is His specialty. :)

Blessings,

Gideon

I am curious. How did you come up with this conclusion? He wrote to the church of Sardis that they had a name that they lived, but they were dead. Were they born again Christians? According to the logic you are using, they were not. Yet listen to what God then told them:

“He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.”

Revelation 3:5

Do you see that they had to beHis children, for their names had to have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. And do you also see what He threatened to do, lest they repent? Boy, does that fly in the face of what many of us have believed to be the truth.

Every single church was a real church, full of children who were born again. But many were not walking in their born again natures, and just a few were walking pleasing to God. The Laodecians were in the worst condition, for they were not only far from the heart of God, they also were totally convinced that they were in fine standing with Him because of their advanced understanding of grace that told them that they had need of nothing. Their ears had been made deaf to self-introspection, their eyes had been blinded to the fact that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. Massive repentance was needed so that they could see clearly again.

I use the KJV normally, but in reading the Message Bible, I found God’s words to the Laodecians especially awakening:

”Write to Laodicea, to the Angel of the church. God’s Yes, the Faithful and Accurate Witness, the First of God’s creation, says: “I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.

Here’s what I want you to do: Buy your gold from me, gold that’s been through the refiner’s fire. Then you’ll be rich. Buy your clothes from me, clothes designed in Heaven. You’ve gone around half-naked long enough. And buy medicine for your eyes from me so you can see, really see.

The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!

Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!

Revelation 3:14-15,18-20

Will we continue to deny the obvious, clinging to the teachings we  have heard that tell us all is well with us and God, because of what Christ did for us, and that there is no reason for concern, for self examination, even though our hearts, our treasures, our thoughts and actions all deny Him? Are we truly willing to risk our eternity based on our belief that God somehow does not see our cold hearts, our worldly lives, our unbelief or lack of desire for Him to sanctify us wholly, body, soul and Spirit..... in THIS life? He indeed does see, and clearly. And because He loves us,He warns us. But.... will we listen?

People wonder why I see a desperate need for a huge awakening. The truth is, I am amazed that others do not. But I am convinced that all who truly love the Lord, even if they have strayed far from the truth, WILL be brought back to the understanding that He wants to makes us conquorers... right here... right now.... as a testament to the lost that our God reigns. We wonder why the lost are not beating down our doors to get saved? Is it not plain to us? But let us know this..... for here is God’s recipe for the latter day awakening that will spur on the harvest.

“And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God , when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.”
                                                 Ezekiel 36:2
3

Nothing we can say will stop it. The awakening WILL happen. The harvest WiLL happen. The Bride WILL be made spotless, totally glorious, and totally prepared to meet her bridegroom. The only question is, will we be a part of it?

blessings,

Gideon

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
